Hey Spandex. There is still a slight chance the HD is still OK. Do you have another laptop to try it in ?
Oh and guys - when you click on those thumbs make sue you view original size after. Some of those shots are huge. Remember all - Backup, Backup, Backup. ![]() Edit - Thanx Harry - I go to Picasa almost daily to search for pics - Havn't uploaded any there though.

If the computer was not turned on at the time, the hard drive would almost certainly still be good.

Yes laptop HD's are better able to take drops. I was just wondering if it got physically damaged or if it took some serious G's.On another note: Hey Skytower - how you been. Are they measuring from a different level than before ? I ask because the structure is only at 155 Mezz. by the way I have been counting. The top of the walls that are currently poured are at level 156 floor, but I call it 155 Mezz. untill the walls of 156 are up. ![]() I am left wondering if your source has jumped the gun a bit. ![]()

thanx for the concerns guys, but the computer was taken to a "specialist" but it was completely shattered (some heavy tools in the car as well) and he said nothing could be done, witch I did not care about anyways (my bro was messed up)-(he is ok now!)- The pc was only 4 months old and silly me thought I was invincible and never bothered taking backups, thought viruzes would only attack old computers haha ![]() anyways, THANX FURY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ![]() Awesome pics and awesome progress, puts it all in perspective, and that was really quick service you provide This enables me to start my own collection again without making it look like I am a compleet beginner

Can any of our photo specialists take a picture with a wide angle camera showing on a same row from Burj Dubai to Emirates Towers from Al-Khayl road. The scene from there is excellent. I saw it several times by passing how the Burj is dwarfing all the super talls in Dubai including: Emirates Towers, Rose, Icon, and Down Town Hotel. I wished to do it myself but I only pass very early in the morning and such requires a clear day light to do.

You think the planes were photoshopped? I assure you they were not.... It was part of an air display during the 2007 Dubai Air Show last week.

So the 3 tips of podium 1 are 78 meters from the edge of the inner core and 102 meters from the center of the structure. Gives a good idea of the size of this thing - the length of a football field.
![]() Enjoy. [/QUOTE]Fury, are the tips of podium 1 not 92 meters from the centre? I have 78 meters from the edge of tier 15, but 102 from centre seems massive. You should start a thread just for construction pics and plans/renders you have, would save you posting the same ones again for people, would be very handy. |

where do they get those palmtrees from, and how much does one cost?
Just curious----And furthermore: Do they have enough of them, as there is a consturction boob, with every project having dozens of palm threes? I mean, how old are they, on that pic? At least 15 years... |
