Just curious----And furthermore: Do they have enough of them, as there is a consturction boob, with every project having dozens of palm threes?

I mean, how old are they, on that pic? At least 15 years...

The Palm trees are grown in nurseries and then transplanted to where ever they are needed. You are right, with all of the projects across the U.A.E, the number of available palm treesis dwindling and the prices for each of them depends on their height, rather than age....

As for how much they cost, I think a 2m palm tree could cost anywhere from 1,000 - 2,000 Dirhams, which is about $272 - $817

It's a shame they don't seem to last very long. See Imre's pics of dead trees.

Don't wish for too many palm trees, you get the jail for one year in dubai if you crash into one!

Hi all.

Nice shots Imre.

Hey Cooperchris. You are correct, the tips are 90 or 91 from center. Not sure what I was on when I measured but I should share. lol. The grid in that print and others are 4.5 meters. Still very large. Thanks.

Also you asked a while ago about floor thickness. I got something for you. I will pm you later - I am on my laptop right now.

I've just seen a tv programme on Discovery Science about Burj Dubai. There was an interview with an architect and some other things about the building.
