Edit: Whoever says the spire is not visible from the ground, is badly mistaken. I was at the open beach in Jumeira today and the spire was very very cleary visible without question. That's about 4 km away and we didn't have a crystal clear day today, Burj Al Arab was hardly visible.
Yup - spire is visible from Arabian Ranches too (that's 15km away).

I'll take a pic in the morning if it's clear.

it'll rise again 100%, definitely not topped out...though i got a small shock when i read the post from OTR

they've to install the windows now because it's not possible when the spire has been fully lifted...they would need an helicopter for that

look at the pic, the blue line show's the current height of the steel. what i circled red is the window-part they've to install arround the spire before they can jack it...probably exactly the missing meters

hope i'm right with that

Think the rumours of BD top-out were to make us debate about it over a few pages of this thread!

Do you know what is the work inside? What are they doing now inside? I'd like to see the interior of the tower too

yep, I feel that too.

The cladding attached to the spire is pretty interesting, there'll be no habitable space between the glasses and the spire.

People like you should be shot in the head and thrown into the Hudson River. Even if they had stopped at 770: "...small thing like 770 meters?" Dude, you're an idiot.

Do us all a favor and don't post stupid sh*t like that again.

I doubt there was any Emaar press release. Most probably just a moron calling him/herself journalist that can't even read.

yes emaar are funny buggers. of course we still have more to go.
ive worked out current height= 780m (39m to go)- according to 13 fins above highest steel segment.
this pic by lord imre clearly shows the tier27 segment attached to pinnacle.
that little piece of glazed section is the "roof of the world". the small terrace will be 768m high.

diagram
on track to topout before NYE
