Going back up Umm Suqeim road having picked up my print, and looking across at the BD, I thought the spire looked like it was rather higher than it was an hour previously.

You should set up a webcam mate

Let me know what colour you'd prefer, and I'll make a couple of calls.

I'm sure we can get it sorted to your liking by the end of the week!

Great pic OTR, thanks for keeping everyone up to date minute by minute
Illuminating looks good, spire itself looks a bit blotchy..

Thanks OTR for another tremendous contribution.

But Only way the spire would be good combination to the cladding would be if the spire was slightly bluer but I like the current spire because its bright and stands out in sun from far away for sure and will match the spire in the renderings (shining and glowing)

Hooray for the jacking!!

I personally like the color of the spire, because I think it is intended to blend with the color of the building's silver/chrome detailing - not the windows.

Ahhh, thank goodness, I am not alone. Yes, this building is functionally 739m high with a bunch of ornamentals added on top.

Hi Dennis, does not look great by zooming in but looks great in contrast when the entire structure is viewed in full from the ground.

I awoke this morning and looked up from my pillow to see if there was any overnight jacking, and what a sight from the sun glistening on the spire. No complaints from me at this fantastic view.

Agree, and the windows are not blue either, they are also silver.. They just reflect the blue sky if you look from down and they look blue.. On a cloudy day, or from helicopter images they will look grey and will be the same color as the spire, I can't imagine the spire being blue then

Blue? windows:

most likely either 8m to go or 19m to go. Where did you get 18m to go from?
