1 or 2 more jackings to go! one tomorrow and one final one on new years eve =D

Would be interesting to see if there are any firework teams preparing displays on the Burj Dubai.

I put money on 819m instead of 809m, no matter what reliable sources say...

when the spire tops out, I reckon we'll see bottom of cladding currently attached to the spire being somewhere around bottom of 24th steel floor.

But, i wonder why they have chosen green spotlights for the spire whereas the ones on the lower tiers are blue?? Or did i miss something at the previous light testings?

Anyways, I cant wait to see the lightshow of the whole thing, when its finally topped out. It will true become history!

Thanks for the update!

Blue ones are temporary, I think it is the same green color of this laser show (or whatever) we have seen on the lower tiers earlier

Perhaps they put the 2 small wings (tier 23) on the spire before they topout, but i don't hope so. It should also be possible to do that after the final jacking process, because it was also possible for the crane to build the big wing of tier 23.
The missing 18 or 19 meters are possible to jack within hours, as we have seen it some weeks ago.

Fury plans was published on burjdubaiskyscraper but desappear (why ?) and lost somewhere in the thread.
Attach to the spire for sure one small wing for tier 23 at the opposite to the big one, you will can see it on the "tier 23 start" pic. However I don't know how to publish pic directly from my PC.

Looks like 800m height has now been achieved.

Fantastic news OTR, maybe still hope for the mother of all fireworks displays in a few days....what better place to enjoy multiple jacking with a view like yours eh?

Great time to be back after a year away (but still been here every day catching up on all the news as I have the last 6 years)

Happy New Year to all

wow, 800m high! looks great. just 2 more jackings and were done.
flyfish.-burj dubai has many roofs. hard to say which is highest or main roof.
#The mainroof for LMR and plant is lev162 or 624m.
#Then theres 4 main roofs on the spire structure at tier19, tier20, tier21 and tier22 which is 701m.These are accessed by a main staircase.
#Above tier22, the internal access changes to a ladder which rises up to tier24 or 739m.
#Now above this you have to use the pinnacles internal ladder which takes you up to tier27 or 768m. The small terrace here is standing room only, about size of bathtub. This is highest spot you can stand comfortably on burj dubai. above this you can also climb pinnacle to aircraft beacons at 818m.
