The limb that is about to break! I guess he hasn't seen the NHT thread or maybe thinks it will be on hold at some point. If he had read anything about other planned towers lately I bet he would have never said that. The world is muhc different than it was in the ESB days. The new WTB will surpass BD in less than 15 years for sure.

More steel floors being added to the wing. Is this a re-design?

I hope this is an appropriate time and place to say that I have been watching this thread and others for a long time. And, I suspect, there are many others, who like me, have chosen to remain silent.

On behalf of all the voyeurs, a huge thank you to all the posters for their comments, insights, pictures, diagrams and discussions on this magnificent structure. You have made this construction project both informative and a lot of fun for a lot of people.

Thank you.

hm i don't know... i always said that burj dubai is a fantastic arcitecture, a beautiful building. But....

a. for me dubai is something like Las Vegas. A city out in nowhere, a utopia, a world, which has not really a reality in it...

b. oke i know, there is a race about the height of the buildings in the world. perhaps a question of power and force too... but do you find it as a remarkable point in a architectural discussion?

to sum (a) and (b)... they justifiy themself together... burj dubai could only be built in dubai or in las vegas, but ONLY there...
