Sh*t, I called a very urgent meeting with representatives of both Emaar and the engineering firm who design the fountain. I showed them your post and their responded in shock. Emaar decided to stop any further payment and sue the firm for compensation if the issue isn't resolved and the firm comes forward with a redesign or provisions before the end of February. Till then the project is on hold.

How do you mean? Didn't the designers think about the possibility that wind will blow the water away?

I think that was sarcasm for those who think engineers might forget or couldn't think about these very obvious problems even nearing the end of the project

By the way, I was driving on SZR 1 hour ago and it seemed to me the spire looked different, a possible height increase or even top out. But as I was driving, I wasn't able to look up that long, so I'm not sure. Can anyone confirm this?
