That are 133 too much, compared to the Burj's height in feet.

I think that this is one big achievement for mankind because a lot of the technology use for the construction was unknown, and the fact that this tower has a height never accomplished before, so in my opinion is probably something that will set foot for a next generation of skyscrapers and structures, and that´s something not to be taken lightly or under appreciate. Maybe some people don't see it now but in the future this will be very important.

For people which are reading the thread, and use to read every post, an advice don't read the last 6 pages of posts. It's only full of posts with: TOPPED OUT!.

I am sorry but you are wrong about the technology. There was nothing unknown about the construction of the Burj. The engineering of the tower was possible because it utilized the combined knowledge of previous skyscrapers achievements. The whole idea is that this tower merges in itself tested and applied construction techniques from many other tall buildings. The Burj Dubai is simply the next level of evolution in skyscraper construction, not a completely different breed of skyscraper. There are no unique materials that make up the Burj. It is primarily build of concrete, steel, and glass. It is the way these materials come together that make it unique.

You are right that many may not appreciate the accomplishment that this building has made now, but people usually appreciate things only when they have become part of history.
