It's taken me months to figure it out, but I knew the spire looked familiar:

I haven't noticed anything happening at the top of the building since top out. Why aren't they completing the wings near the spire?

I also posted labelled prints showing how for tier 23 the cladding attached to the pinnacle pipe is 2/3 of the way around the tier as there is only one larger wing.

Tier 22 below that has cladding attached to the pipe approx. 1/3 of the way around the tier.

Right now only the top ~ 10 meters of tier 23 small wings are attached to the pipe so it may sort of look like there is to be more jacking, but NO ....
Once they attach the bottom ~10 meters it will look proper.

Tiers 24 to 29 are all 9.6 meters high (except 27 at 9.4). Tiers 13 to 23 are all 19.2 meters high (except 15 at 20.8).

All is to plan guys .... I suppose there will always be those who also believe man did not actually land on the moon ........

I'm not saying the plan couldn't have been revised a meter here or a meter there but I highly doubt it and they have followed the plan exactly.

We are topped out and the thing is 818.0 meters high as measured from the floor of the ground level to the floor of the top access platform. All we have is the plans to go by and since we have them we might as well use them(and Emaar is hating every minute of it).

Here's another way to look at it - if we had no plans ( as with all other structures) we would think the Burj dubai is 688 right now or I think there was a 707 out there some where.

Thanks for the analysis but one question.
LIVING IN CANADA, HOW ON EARTH DID U GET HOLD OF THE PLANS FOR THE WORLDS TALLEST TOWER?????????????

As of June 17, 2008 there are 7,500 skilled workers employed in the construction of Burj Dubai.

Hi Rei.

I gotta say ...... this is fantastic work. I perused the other models you made in those other threads you posted - you have a gift man - happy to see your using it for skyscrapers.

Hi Infra.

I make sure to get any and all info and pics of this structure. As with many here I have watched this thing for years now. I truly believe what my sig. says. When a fellow forummer made a shitload of info available to everyone I got every last scrap of it. My knowledge of the plans came from various sources including the above mentioned source. From there I made my BD Plan, Methodology, and Pic to Plan comparisons. I have also tried to break down and post on many aspects of the BD over the last few years and will continue to do so. I have helped out with accuracy on Cul's great drawing and have helped many people on their work including Cooperchris's autocad work on the Burj. I have tried to answer questions from many forummers that have PM'd me or through posts because I love this thing and enjoy helping people out.

Hi Mike.

Although I am an A+ certified computer tech. I have never "hacked" into anything, nor have I taken the time to learn how to do that. But ..... If I could I would have done so for info on this structure and would have made it available to all because while I agree with the need for secrecy for some time in a project's early life I feel Emaar is taking it too far especially at this point. I have nothing against Emaar personally but they have tried to strongarm people (websites) who I consider friends and I have an issue with that.

Fury, you've made more sense out of that information than I could have ever done.

Thank you for all your hard work in compiling your fantastic and easy to comprehend breakdowns, so us laymen/women for these last few years have had a great insight of what would otherwise not have been available.
