Hi all.

I wonder if Emaar will ever reveal to the general public that the Burj Dubai is topped out ? If they do the questions of 'how tall is it' will increase exponentially. I find the veil of secrecy comparable to the proverbial ostrich with it's head in the sand. I find it unbelievable that Emaar figures the secrecy of the height is more important than celebrating top out with the rest of the world. More people probably knew about the ESB topping out in the '30's and in the great depression that this magnificent structure.

Now with the way the world economy is and projects being put on hold all over the world there won't be a contender for the WTS for at least a decade or more so sticking to the height secrecy seems even more ludicrous to me. I realize Dubai is a totally different culture than the western world and the Sheik decides just about everything but its time to come out from behind the sand curtain and tell the public that the Burj Dubai is 818.0 meters tall as measured by the plans.

The milestones of this thing are things to be celebrated with the world - not kept in a dark closet. ARE YOU LISTENING EMAAR ??!!??

I like the photo with the flag.
I have completed more of my LEGO Burj Dubai. it is proportionately correct except for the base, which I made to suit the remaining pieces. the only mistake is that the tiers spiral the wrong way, so it is a mirror image.
