I'm sorry, can't help you much to speed up the process, you have to call DUBAI for that. Glad I contributed though, even if just a single "stone".

I've already run out of height in my apartment and the police will be round if i do it in the garden,,,

Now someone will steal the idea and use it in a marketing ploy... you heard it first from me.

Thanks, maybe I have seen when they increased the spire.

Do you know what time reached the 818m?

Hi whoami.

I think you are mistaken. I just looked at Imre's shots from the 16th and it is clearly not topped out. The shots from the 17th are topped. Perhaps it did top out in the PM or night of the 16th or the AM of the 17th but definately not the 15th - providing Imre's dates are correct of course (I'm sure they are).

EDIT In Imre's second shot above the BD is not topped out. The shots from the 16th look the same - at ~809m. with tier 25 just above tier 23 steel. Not untill the shots from the 17th is tier 24 just above tier 23 steel as it should be when we are topped out at 818m.

now that the building is topped off, the next milestone should be someone sneaking in to get some exclusive interior shots.

*cough* IMRE *cough*cough*

He'd have to sneak on the site while wearing a workers uniform and take the chance of being arrested.

We are speculating a 09-09-09 grand opening ceremony? No one is sure yet even Emaar but most likely that's when it will be. Everything thing seems to be going along as scheduled(revised schedule), cladding is progressing very well, work on the lake is going well, and soon they will start fitting the inside that's if they haven't started already.

Can we assume that all electric, plumbing, etc is in place now?
What do you guys think is next as far as the interior is concerned?

surely they shud be finishing the steel levels by now? havent seem them evens tart that yet.....

I ave one question tho... can the crane lower itself down? like it used to raise itself, but i was thinking it would lower itself down to the other crane lower down on the steel so it can be dismantled..... or do they need to put another small crane up there?

LOL

btw, i just realised something. You know how 'burj' in arabic means 'tower' right, so when u translate the name of Burj Dubai you get 'Dubai Tower'.
But whenever media presenters on the tele or journalists in the paper talk/write about this building, they say 'Burj Dubai Tower'. Doesn't this then translate to 'Dubai Tower Tower' ? or "Tower of Dubai Tower' ??
'Burj Dubai Tower' flows of the tongue quite nicely, but isn't everyone technically making a grammatical mistake here by adding 'tower' after 'burj dubai' ??
lol, this had just occured to me and it would be interesting to here what everyone here as to say about this
btw, feel free to correct me or shout out if something doesn't make sense.

peace out
