yes, are there any finished interior shots yet of what the standard apartments will look like? maybe even the more luxurious penthouses? and what will the interior of the main entrances look like?

also i read that sometime ago two b.a.s.e. jumpers broke the record height for jumping from a building here. i know that is old news to a lot of you here but what i would like to know is what was the height or level they jumped from? was it above 600m?

great pictures by the way - those strange shadow effects are weird. keep up the good work.

great vid. burj dubai was approx 650m tall at the time of the jump.
they walked up to lev160/624m which took 75mins.
they then walked down 5 floors to lev157/592m.
then they had to walk down a tier roof so they could jump. so they walked down 2 more floors to lev156/tier16/586m or where the concrete structure stops.

The shadow effect must be quite unique. When the air is filled with dust particles they will all reflect the sunlight and create the white haze. Since Burj Dubai is more than 800m tall it stands above most of the dust and because in its shadow there is no such reflection it is like looking up to the deep blue skies through a window.

I think noone would notice this with a mountain i.e. for it would not be pointy enough to have a hard shadow like this. Also, other buildings do not reach this height therefore I would assume it is a "special Burj Dubai thing".

I am sure in the future many people will experience this effect and take pictures of it
