Details of the fountain - imagine first setting up this chaos and later conducting maintenance on it over a length of 300m... what a task

Were buyers allowed to do that? Or did they have to buy and finished apartment, and then rip out and re-do all the finsihed if they want it there own way?
Just to confirm that the interior photos are of the mock up (sample) apartment for the residences which are above the armani hotel/residences. These apartments will have 4 themes (classic, modern, contemporary & period). I was working for the main interior contractor that is fitting out the apartments and public areas. They work closely with the client's representative to produce the final product. The furniture is not provided, the apartments will be handed over to Emaar completely fitted out excluding the FF&E work.

I've read somewhere you can see Iran from the top of the tower. Is that just a myth?

That´s a myth, Iran is simply just too far away (or BD is too ´short´)

The myth came from the Google Erath programme in which you can set the height (818 meters above the ground level) and you can see Iran, but in the real life there is too much air on the way which ruins the view... so seeing Iran from the top of BD is impossible.

Hi who.

I'm not quite sure what you mean. In an earlier revision perhaps there was no level 157.

I nabbed the print you so kindly posted as I don't have that one.

Please Sir - I want some more ...

Edit

Those are some nice shots Desert. The work at the base of the structure is coming along nicely - interesting too. The adition to the office annex is progressing also. Thanks for the shots.

Yes on the Mirror and What Is It Going To Be?

I agree w/Paul C. M. that considering the culture of the country that mirror above the bed in that upolstered suite is kinda tacky...especially if that room is supposed to be kinda of a model...very odd

Great shots Desert Diver Dude..

But I gotta know just what is that cement structure under construction that is all covered in black liner with a grid type of flooring and has all the vertical circular elements? Is that part of the fountain or a water feature or what?

Or is it just black protective water barriers applied to the concrete before it gets burried...

Anybody?

Lol Again, the room with the mirror is from the Burj Al Arab, the Hotel, Not from Burj Dubai.

This is online with ITV.com - at least it is in the UK. Expires in 30 days.

Program is excellent about Dubai in general, but rather poor about the Burj Dubai - suspect EMAAR restricted access given Piers Morgans' sometimes critical attitude.
