Come on, what's with all these "concerns" about Burj Dubai draining the energy sources and the BD Lake draining the water resources. Come on people, be smarter then that.

As for the calls to build solar powers systems:

1. They have plans to do it, even that is mostly to appease the ignorant "environmentalists" and the influence they have on the media and over people's psychic brainwashed by the media. (See 2)

2. Solar power is more expensive and complicated then any other form of power-generating. The desert is the WORST place to build a solar power plant. The sand and dust accumulated on the panels not only damages them but also reduces significantly their already scarce efficiency.

... but hey, at least people forgot about tsunamis and putting them in every sentence.

Back to the Burj Dubai itself: I planned today to go in and around the tower and the lake, b ut the weather was crap. A sand storm had developed and the visibility was very limited and all in all the wrong time (as far as lighting is conccerned) to take pictures.

Yes...

Maybe not the type of spam you would receive in your e-mail(or the type that you can eat), but to a certain extent... 7 videos is a bit much, IMO.

Look... I just thought that 7 videos of a fountain on a post for the Burj Dubai was a little much. I mean, come on... it's a fountain...

And for the other posters... save your little bashes about my measly 5 post count to yourself, if you want to flex your EPEEN then play World of Warcraft.

but won't the water become vapour when it goes up that high?
Like how water becomes vapour when it goes down a waterfall...

some of it will but not all of it. most will come crashing down, and the rest will become a fine mist cooling down the surrounding area.

General tips
To resolve the fountain posting issue use the scroll button on your mouse to bypass these posts if you are not interested. Easy!
Forum etiquette: enjoy the experience and appreciate the time and effort put in by others to make this site so valuable and enjoyable. Basic really.

Aren't you attempting to flex yours here? You certainly have to have an ego if you are going to dictate content with such little commitment (i.e. post count)

Lets also take a look at your thinking: If at a cost of over $200 million dollars, the Dubai Fountain is 'just a fountain' then by that standard, the billion dollar Burj Dubai is then 'just a building'. Why do you care about the Burj then? Its just a building. By your standard then, you have no need to be on this thread.

Furthermore, how logical is it to just pick and choose what you like yet judge others for their preferences? I'm surprised you weren't moaning about shots of the Dubai Mall in those videos. After all, with 1200 stores, its 'just a mall'.

Don't deride a poster's decision to place a few videos up when its in fact you who deserves derision.

Clearly you are completely ignorant as to the scale and cost of that fountain, and its technological value. Clearly your thinking is flawed. Clearly its sad this has to be explained to you . . . by strangers.

There are better ways of getting attention than by being a troll. Quit judging other's choices when clearly yours are far less thought through.
