I've read that you can see the Burj Dubai from around 100km (62 Miles) away and was wondering if anyone has any photos of the tower from really far away (50-100km / 31-62 Miles).

I'm not sure if any have been posted recently or at all, but would really love to see what it looks like from say the road to/from Abu Dhabi.

Bit of an odd request really, but i would really appreciate it if someone could share some.

I think its usually too dusty to ever see it from that distance. The figure is rather theoretical following calculations, but not considering reality IMO

The farthest distance I could ever see the Burj from was some time last year leaving Bab Al Shams, which is roughly 40km away from the Burj.

Here some of my pics from greater distance

Entrance to Palm Jumeirah: 16km

Crescent of Palm Jumeirah at the Atlantis hotel: 17km

Large format: http://www.quetschluft.de/dubai/DSC_9512_q.jpg

From the roof of my house: 18km

Large format: http://www.quetschluft.de/dubai/DSC_0988_q.jpg

From Umm Suqeim Rd. at Arabian Ranches Intersection: 15km

Large format: http://www.quetschluft.de/dubai/DSC_9341_q.jpg

Huge panorama from Marina/JLT on the left to Burj Dubai and The Address on the right, also seen from Arabian Ranches Intersection

Large format (16020x2421): http://www.quetschluft.de/dubai/wholedubai_q.jpg

Got many more distant skyline pics, but appearently not from more than 18km away

Wow! Thank you so much for those Desert River, really detailed response.
It really helps to grasp just how tall it is, even from such great distances.
I can imagine it must get quite dusty at times, so it would probably be quite rare to see a photograph from even further away.

Thanks for your time and effort.

Probably quite awhile, considering the current world economy.

Henrik - help !!!
Henrik? Ha.
How about asking THE ONE who supplied you and SkyT with schematics and many other interesting things? It's as simple as a quick email. We got about 100+ ground breaking/foundation ceremony/digging alone from him.

Burj Dubai - Modern apartment - Bathroom

Hi everyone,
I managed to get hold of a few photos from the inside of the modern style residential apartment bathroom. This is the mock up apartment and I have been told that the photos are approximately a year old.

Hi Darth.

I have no idea who you are talking about ... ( I have an idea but nothing was ever confirmed to me) I got all the stuff through Sky T's site.

Pics in my 29,172 pic collection on the BD about ground breaking or digging - zero, zilch, nada ...

So how about you give me an email addy and I will make a request for these 100+ shots and more ... Or if you have them you could post them for us - thanks Darth.

Henrik came on here a week ago with a few early pics and said he has ~1000 early shots. He said he has monthly progress shots and sounded like he was involved in the project (infered by me ...) I PM'd him and he said he would try and get a bunch zipped up when he has time. I'm patiently waiting.

A few from yesterday -

Most of the scaffolding now removed from the lake entrance -

It's like an episode of Lost! That's a hatch on the left that leads down to the underground space beneath the lake that has all the fountain tech in it:

Some kind of concrete structure on top of the left office wing:

Going up:

Working on the piping bits:

View from the pool bar at The Address:

Hi Gerald.

That building is called the Pool Pavillion Annex. The concrete penthouse has always been in the plans (at least the most recent revisions).

Great shots BTW.
