Megatall?

> 600m

500 m is easy. 600 m is a challenge.

500m sounds good to me as a minimum for a mega tall.
which mod is in charge of creating a new section?

Mega = One million.

It doesn't make any freaking sense, unless you use it for buildings a kilometer (a million millimeters) high. Better use something like "ultra" or "hyper".

I agree. Maybe Ultra Supertall?

At least it makes sense; "beyond supertall". But maybe it does not sound good.

Yeah whilst we're at it lets have a section for all the towers between 500 and 510m, all the towers between 510 and 520, all those between 520 and 530. For christs sake there's maybe 5 towers in the world over 500m we do not need a section just for them.

Ok first of all: Wow THAT'S a building. Secondly how well does the construction of the worlds tallest building correspond with the meltdown and possible collapse of the USA och Europe? Would this be the definition of bad timing? How are they going to finance this building? Will they make any money on this building?

I mean they will probably have problems having that building running with profits if there's no tennants. Won't they?

Cul, there are many proposed, but in current situation it is very questionable, how many will really get built in a few years. I don't think it will make sense to make this section now when it may be filled with five towers for the next ten years...

Now back to the supertall Burj Dubai. The similarity between malec's render and the recent picture is pretty astonishing!

^its actually good timing. Burj Dubai is nearly completed.
the apartments in the tower are all sold out. the Armani hotel will be most popular.
the office space will also be sought after. no problems with letting or selling space in Burj Dubai!

So the Burj won't be affected by the melt down? I wonder if the tennants are investors or people that actually will live there?

But yeah it's a incredible building. Still i reckon that with the flight of foreigners from Dubai the city will lose it's appeal to some foreign investors. Still it beat the hell out of Monaco so they might be able to attract some wealthy millionaires.

The building is almost complete and you were talking about dangers of securing funds to build it.

Do you have an idea how expensive it is to complete such an building like this in the inside?

Just go to a furniture store and buy a complete set of furniture for just one room. And hire some workers to put some hangings on the walls, and let them to the floor etc. I guess it will be a considerable investment for you. And now do this for hundred of rooms.
