Upper ellipse is 5th mechanical floor.
Lower ellipse is observation deck.

I'm not sure about windows but I believe it won't be higher, perhaps semi-windows.

Hi all.

The top level of every tier is taller. I think the cladding will be the height of the level; 3.2, 3.5, 3.7, 4.0, 4.3, 4.8, 5.3, or 6.0 meters.

On another note I think this is the crane they will use for the steel section.

This is the side it will be on and the supports look the same. I think once they start on the steel they will mount a support at the top of the concrete. Later they will put a support higher up ( on the steel ) and raise the base of the crane so it looks like this.

Such a great time for us scraper lovers. The pics and info for this and other great structures around the world is awesome. The Burj started just a touch early to see it start from the first perverbial shovel full of earth. For the last 2 years and from now on we (will) see many projects from the beginning - The Pentominium, Al Burj, Chicago Spire, Guangzhou TV Tower, The Bow in Calgary, Etc. None are as interesting in both complexity, and elegence in design as the Burj Dubai. I think it is also responsible for starting the inflo of pics and info on the net because of it's unbelievable height.

Have a good day all.

True Fury, this is the crane which will be used for the steel section. Spot the selfclimbing device mounted on.

To make out that it's something really secret that must be kept hidden from prying eyes.
Otherwise, something boring like protection for equipment.

So long as things fall down exactly where the tarpaulin is. I see it's already got a rip in it.
