I thought there would be, cause even with a springy bottom I don't think anyone survive that.

[QUOTE=dstamand;34726950]Found this on Flickr
In The Pit of the world's tallest elevator. QUOTE] I read somewhere that the longest elevator shaft in the world is actually in the Internation Commerce Center (ICC). One elevator shaft in the ICC extends all 118 floors. Though the 124 story elevator shaft to the Burj Dubai observation floor would seem taller, the ICC floors are all office floors which tend to be taller than hotel and residential floors found below the Burj Dubai observation deck. So the 118th floor of the ICC is taller thant he 124th of the Burj Dubai. |

The cladding on the steel section is progressing nicely. The final result is getting clearer everyday, on the outside at least.

Thanks for all the pics, a lot of new stuff lately ![]() The facade looks stunning! I wonder why the 2 lowest mechanical levels look different than the upper ones in Imre's first pic of this page..? Is it because of the rails that are fully installed there or because of some cleaning maybe? |

The first two mechanical floors look diffrent because of the rails. You are right - nice stunning pics from Imre!
