What is included in 09 09 09 ?

Does anyone know what is included in the September "soft opening" ?

As one can see in any of the evening pictures shown recently, there are a few lights seen in the bottom floors in the hotel area, but hardly any at all above the first mech. levels. Either the workers are good at turning off the lights, or the state of the finishing is still very elementary in most of these areas.

We have not seen or heard of any evidence of what is going on inside. We have seen the outdoor construction lifts gone, but have these just been moved inside into the permanent shafts ?

At this point, I'd be surprised if 09 09 09 consists of any more than a floor of hotel rooms and a coffee shop, if it happens then at all.

Thanks for any information that becomes available.

september 9 is still five months away tomorrow or today depending on where your reading this. five months is plenty of time to finish the cladding and build out the the rest of the building. all the habitual floors have cladding so interior work is being performed, while the upper floors can be prepped after the soft opening.

154days to soft opening. Dubai will be a great place to visit in next few years.

Hi Altin.

The observation level won't be open to the public ??

Why couldn't one walk from the Residence lobby through the Residence parkade elevator lobby, cross the corridor, through the Observation vestibule to the Observation entry/exit ?

Oh ya - I think you should drop whatever your doing and get us those 1,000 pics of the BD site prep from Henrik - don't make me come over there .....

Could be looking up or down, either way I guess... I'd say it is looking down, since I believe what we see in the picture are shock absorbers below the cabin (?)

It's definitely looking up. You can see the lift cables very clearly in the picture. Most high speed elevators also have some kind of stops on the top in case they overrun the system at the top of their run.

Well actually... looking closer again I can see the steel cable... which is most likely above the cabin

Edit: Had a phone call and saw Msradell's post only now
