It's amazing! The building and its architecture are fabulous! I heard there will be another plan for a new building even higher than Burj. Anybody knows it?

Floor 124 is already high enough. If you go higher, you wouldn't see a thing.

regarding where the observation deck is located, im just glad there is one at all. but to say if its any higher you wont see anything is just not true. you have the tallest structure on earth, why not use that to have the highest view on earth. SWFC is at 474 m, so i think the burj should have one at the top of the concrete core which is 586 m i believe. just my two cents.

This has been discussed many a time before now. If it was higher the view really would not mean much. You would be so far away in terms of height from the surrounding buildings there would not be much to see. Also, with alot of dust/sand/pollution in the air this reduces the view availiable, there could be a chance if you were to go that high you wouldn't even be able to see the ground. Another point is logistical; the higher you go the more difficult it is to fit in the shaft of an express observation lift, this would simply start to take up too much room and render the upper floors useless, giving you far too little letable area. Experienced a similar problem on the design of the Okhta Centre in St Petersburg.

^there has been countless photos posted from lev150+ or 600m .
the lev124 ob deck is high enough. its one of the last large floors and it boasts an outdoor deck. yes its 30m lower then SWFC but you wouldnt notice this at this high up.
the further up go up in any skyscraper the less you actually see.smog or dust clouds your vision and street level becomes unseen. i would rather be up halfway so i can see more.
but i do agree in the highest part of burj dubai being-tier27 or 768m,'crows nest" should be an addtional fee from ob deck. many towers now do this. Sydney tower has an outdoor deck which people walk around glass overhanging floors, aucklands tower has a climb up the mast to 100m higher then ob deck.al these cost extra but real buzz.
i bet people would be lining up for a climb up top 40 floors of burj dubai and reach its tier27.only 2 or 3 people could stand on the terrace at once but you could always take max of 10 people and they would wait further down in larger tiers to have a go. it could be done.but doubt it.

I dare anyone to explain every function of the steering wheel! No wonder we all spend more time thinking about skyscrapers than we do cars!

No idea about the functions but the switches seem very dated. Apart from the LCD display the rest looks very 1960s.
I thought it would have high-tech instrumentation. Unless of course it's an "antique".
