Hi all.

It has been bugging me for a long time so I thought I'd ask.

The only thing I could come up with is that those high upper tiers will not have HVAC so those spaces behind the cladding will allow air movement between floors behind the curtain wall, while down below each floor is conditioned space so they are buttoning the cladding up tight against the slabs and sealing it to contain conditioned air.

Anybody?
Hi Library.

I was wondering the same thing just about a year ago.

Here is something I posted in June '08.

I asked if anyone knew the reason for the sawtooth edges (on the concrete and steel) but got no response. The slots are there to let something go through - airflow is as good a guess as anything. I mused then about piping but I can't see why that wouldn't be more internal rather than next to the cladding.

The part of level 155 mezz where the wing is not completed is probably because the mezz doesn't extend to that side.

The reason for level 156 small wings to be part concrete and part steel would be interesting to know also.

So many questions - so much secrecy ...

Some of us on here should receive complimentary perks from Emaar for our diligence:
- a complete set of prints and plans
- any and all revisions as they happen
- minutes of all meetings as they happen
- lifetime support from experts to answer all our questions
- unlimited site visits to any and all areas of the structure so pics can be taken
- lastly free all expenses paid trips to the grand opening

Emaar - are you listening ? (I am serious here ... )

I wonder if maybe this could be a location were another of the cleaning robots will be stationed? It makes sense since it's the highest concrete level and the size of the area was about right.

I'm not an expert, but I think nothing will be in ther, probably just for cladding support, because if they would put the cladding directly on the walls, it would be blocky, and it must be curving. But I'm sure Fury can give a much better answer to this question.

In that last one i was standing on the roof of the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel at the Sheikh Zayed Road.
Here is another one. Same angle, but zoomed in.

Looks like it's been raining in that last pic - or just heat haze.
