But there is.. There is The Address Hotel right next to it (300+) meters and quite a few other highrises in the near vicinity.

I am sorry if this has been asked a lot before, but I've been wondering for a long time now...:
Will they remove the giant Emaar-logo(s) on the side of the Burj? I think they kinda ruin pretty much the whole tower :/

Its the oposite actually.

If you are nearby, at the lake for example, where it doesn't interact with any other tower it looks way more massive and neck-breaking tall then from a bigger distance where interactions takes place.

They will remove it, don't worry, but not before the tower opens I'd guess.

Actually that must be the same kind of sticker that is widely used overhere for advertising on buildings or vehicles. It is perforated and from inside it's hardly noticable; Looks more like a darker shade of glass.

in australia to get the advertising pictures on buses/ vehicles and buildings they just print tiny little dots in different colours like the times square leds over the buildings and besides the burj dubai already has them to keep out heat so you won't notice a difference at all just the dots less than 5mm in diameter will be different colours on the outside (un-noticable on the inside), you can't see the dots everywhere else on the building cause they are so small and they blend in so no difference, just google it

We're not sure; it might be 225 meters also.

For security reasons primarily.

However the access to the Observation Deck on the 124th floor of the tower is on the Mall and we have heard that the Mall and the tower are connected with a underground passagge so that might be used to transfer tourists to the lift at the base of the tower, that will send them up on the observatory deck.

And of course there is a big outdoor plazza in between the Mall, the tower and the lake.
