Hi antovador.

I think you hit the nail on the head man - close to the height of these 2 buildings. The CTBUH measurement may include the Concourse level (so 824) and if there is a little settling 823. something could be right on the money.

The notion that the structure will grow any from what it is now is ... to put it in a nice way - a stretch.

Helghast - thanx for the pics. I had some of them but some are new.

Imre - thanx for your latest update and the articles.

Nice pictures. Dubai has really grown fast over the last couple of years, and is definately a very interesting city. Burj Dubai is just amazing.

Is the crane still lifting parts up or is it really starting to break itself down?

I think it's definitely topped out I just can't imagine or see how they are going to get another 73m out of this tower. Maybe the Burj Dubai was secretly being built on some sort of huge scale mechanical lift that will lift the tower and expose 7 hidden floors they've secretly constructed! You never know

Hi all.

Great coverage OTR.

I see the rail for cladding installation is up on the top of tier 23. They have been putting it up for a while now but it looks almost ready to start installing cladding.

The crane has lowered approx. 1 tier at a time so far.

Fury, I think most of the cladding has already been hoisted up to the various levels and stored ready for installation.

Some big stuff early this morning went up about 2-3m sq, hell knows what that was and where it is now, but looked like some form of tank.

You can clearly see on the latest picture how 'bling bling' and shiny the newest cladding is.

So when the Burj Dubai gets it big wash, it will be so much more beautiful as it is today.

Actually, they've secretly built another 800 feet underground and they're going to dig it out when they're done. Why raise the building when you can just lower the ground?
