Red beacons on tall towers, buildings like BD, uses for the airplanes at nighttimes, right?

The beacon lights has to stay on every night constantly. It's very important for the pilot to know where abouts will that structure be, otherwise they'll collide with it. Though here in NZ, we don't have lots of lights on, due to most buildings less than 100m, compared to larger cities (including Dubai certainly) around the world.

The beacons are not as prolific as DD's pictures show, and dont really stand out that much from ground level.

Angled as such as can be easily seen from a distance or greater height.

If you can let Imre, gerald and me know when spiderman is coming, you will have 3 extra cameras pointing your way.

The spire cladding looks a totally different colour to the normal cladding..... i hope it doesnt stand out too much once its all done...

It's almost a shame to see this building nearly completed, Not sure what im gonna do once its all done. Specially with the economy as it is... i cant see another massive project starting for atleast a few years.

Hi all.

Nice shots Imre.

The crane has lowered itself an entire tier to near the bottom of tier 18.

Nice pics Imre, as always. Now, I can see the cladding is almost finished. Few floors left to cladding to go. I think Burj will be ready in September 9.

Where are the Cladding Panels?

VERY Cool to see those shots of the top crane mast pieces coming down...very cool.

Now with the upper crane down so low what I can't figure out from all the close-up shots of the spire is where are all of the cladding panels which will be needed to finish those last levels?

We don't see them stacked up anywhere on top or stashed on the steel floors.

Are they going to use the BMUs to hoist them all the way up from grade?

Anybody?

Well, I think he have to plan it precisely and won't tell anybody except his support team.

But you three have cameras nonstop focused at BD, so one of you will probably capture it. But anyway, as one mentioned, it will be a long climb, so you will have enough time to come. Just need to have some informator from BD reception etc .
