Hi all.

Some good eyes in here.

The cladding in question is the bottom half of section 21A actually - at 688.1 m. You were close Hightech - it's the middle section of tier 21 - the 3 are named 21, 21A, and 21B. It looks like it is going to extend all the way around.

An interesting thought that it could be an upper observation deck. The thing is, the people would have to take 3 different elevators from the observation deck on level 124 (BS1 or 2, BS3, and BS4) then walk up 16 flights of stairs (2 flights per section) assuming the highest elevator (BS4) goes to the top section of tier 18 (section 18B). Now they could have made some revisions to make this journey easier but unless they did, I doubt it will be place for the public.

It does beg the question though - what is the row of clear(er) glass for ?

Edit - nice round of shots Altin - thanx.

It is weird that very transparent section, you would have thought that all the glass would be clear (you're able to see through it) wouldn't you? What i mean is that even on the lower habital floors the glass isn't like that, could it be something to do with lighting?

I'm sure there would be people willing to go through the extra struggle to get up there. If I could, I would, and it would be the worlds highest observation deck, wouldn't it?
Besides, what's wrong with a little exercise?
I wonder if there will be an annual race up the stairs, or something like that.

Hi all.

Hi Matt - yes me too Matt but I was just alluding to the fact that they would have probably made some revisions in the elevator plans if they were planning an obs deck up that high.

Hi we.

That is a possibility that there will be some lighting in there. I think the rest of the glazing has coatings on it to reflect the UV and/or the heat and that is why it looks more opaque ?

Hi kevin.

I believe there is(was - ?) to be 56 elevators. I haven't seen any pics of the elevators yet.

yeah there's 56 elevators, out of the 56. 20 of them are 20 Gen2™ elevators and 2 double-deck

I also rather doubt that they would tell people to go trough the stairs to the obserwation deck, but check what second from the left is saing...

They may ofcourse lies, (as developers do very often about facts of theirs projects), or it may mean "from the highiest building" (not the point). This way or another it may suggest the highest obs deck.
