Interesting...

Same (?) holes on one of the balcony sections (sorry - not sure what these should be called!)...

And on another section, it looks as if lights have indeed been installed...

Great observations Hightec and Gerald.
So it seems each tier balcony will be lit and then up towards the spire, a random speckled effect at night... Very nice.

Speaking of the steel tubes, is there going to be one more row of them about 3 or 4 tiers above the current highest row? I wouldn't imagine they have any more above that height, as it gets nearer to the spire.. but does anyone know?

That's how much car-tire thread I shred in one year. Somebody must've been car racing there.

Really love that first photo, Christos, the setting is just beautiful. Would be a great location for a Bond movie IMO. Fantastic views of the tower from here while everything looks so clean and tidy, also. The lake of course ...

Stuff of legends

The Burj Dubai tower!

Very nice photos guys

I do enjoy the sheer size of the thing,
which becomes clear when compared to other Dubai skyscrapers.
As in this picture, taken a week a go.

For my entire July 2009 Burj Dubai collection go to
http://simonlaub.net/Fortunecity/BurjDubai/

Next time I'll try to catch some from the
crescent of the Palm. We need more from that angle

best wishes
-Simon

Officials put the finishing touches to the Burj Dubai's last cladding panel, due to be installed in the next few weeks.

Hi all.

More last cladding panel action.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fu6PPjh8Cgs

Nice updates guys - we all appreciate your efforts.
We can see the concrete is poured on the levels where the crane mast was and the area is one quarter clad already.

So - more press releases ...
It kinda sounds to me that the soft opening will now be 09 12 02 if there is any truth to the release. We all know how most of them are ... well ... - you know ...

Hi Library.

I counted the levels on that fuzzy schedule and noticed the skipped levels are included also. It would be nice to make out the designations along the top and bottom but it is better than nothing. One thing to remember is all the stuff we have received from whoami is from the prev. revision. That being said more often than not the print or info still applies to the current revision. The office annex addition is a revision made very late in the game so untill someone gets us new info we won't have any prints or schedules on it.
