I imagine shortly after the cladding is done we should be seeing BMU testing. I still find it strange that they never put the top platform on and therefore will have no BMU to clean the pinnacle as was planned.

The cladding looks great and really enhances the structure. I for one enjoyed the fact they had problems getting the cladding started. It gave us a chance to see the concrete work longer.

The landscaping on the hotel entrance side must be looking good. Weeks ago it was looking half done. December is still a ways away so they have some time left ...

It's too bad this magnificent structure is being built by mostly very poor workers. Even with all the secrecy with this project if the workers were more affluent we would be seeing many internal shots taken with cameras that were snuck past security.

Cranes are still lifting.

The spire has now belended into the skyl;ine and at this early stage is difficult to see from a long distance due to the dirt accumulated. It needs a good clean now.

Great view of BD, but the lake looks....
And lots of work to do on the surroundings before december, or february, or something.

Number 1 - The mech floors have always been cladded later than the regular levels in their area - and since 155/6 are mech levels - maybe there is some large equipment to be lifted for installation into these spaces. It's not just cladding, as most of that is above the crane reach.

Number 2 - Could there be a secret plan to install a top platform or some other embellishment (maybe by helicopter) that could include a BMU, and also serve to increase the height by a small amount ?

Number 3 - The comment of "poor" (economically ) raises the question of how the quality of the work will come out - or are these related at all ?

Maybe the lack of pictures is a reflection of how tight the security is inside the tower

Comments ?

Thank you

Floors in the spire ?

Above L160Mezz3 - Start of Tier 18

How does this space look - are there floors, or is it an open space all the way up, or physical floors at the start of each tier ?

We know there is a stairway with landings at each 6.4 meters - or 3.2 m,
but apart from this what proceeds from the landings ?

The spire cylinder itself starts at 20B and has a ladder inside, but outside of that cylinder, there's still a lot of space to have other substance and function. From T24 and up, there's a small terrace at the start of each tier.

How will these levels be called going forward in the operating building ?
Will they be given level numbers, or will they keep the references to Tiers such as 20B or 21A ? This would leave two ways of referring to levels in the operating building by staff working in the spire - confusing ?

Suppose two or more men are up there talking by cellphone - where are you ?
etc.

Who knows anything ?

Thank you

ITs quite possible that these workers willl have neck problems after working this major project, looking up to the top almost everyday.

I noticed how the residential houses are built in different angles, compared to in England were most houses are parallel to each other.

In the fourth pic of DBD you see a building with a red roof. A long time ago someone said it's the building to filter the water of the lake.

Maybe that's why the lake is so green, the filter building is not finished yet.

Almost finished! The place next to Burj's entrance (sorry, I don't know the name) is almost finished! And the lake needs to be cleaned!
