ROTTERDAM | Projects & Construction

This overview is made by Skybridge for the Dutch forums. The old international version is far outdated, so I'll post the Dutch overview here, I think most is clear, at least the pictures are...

So credits to Skysbridge!

Beautiful list!

(misschien is het nog mooi om de grote versie van dit plaatje in de startpost te zetten.)

Omg, I can't believe how cool these buildings are. And the locations they're in... holy shit!

Go Rotterdam!

Fantastic list.

Do you know if there is a rendering with all the planned towers? For example a modified 360 degree panorama from the Euromast.

We should definitely force the city council the finance a movie featuring all projects. This city is booming!

Translation tool

Kantoortoren = Officetower
Woningtoren = Residentialtower
Ontwikkeling = Developer
Aannemer = Constructor

Current towers already constructed
This list sums the already constructed buildings in the overview as shown
-Montevideo
-Delftse Poort
-Milleniumtoren
-World Port Centre
-Dijkzigt and all towers smaller then that in the list

This means that nearly all towers that are either U/C or proposed in a very far stage (are among the tallest in the Netherlands) and most are among the tallest in Rotterdam as well. And although the height is not groundbreaking in terms of what is constructed by our friends in Asia or the Americas the designs are often quite unique and the general quality of the highrises constructed is very high.

@city_thing: You are totally right, most of the towers constructed are either right in the downtown area (quite unique in Europe) or along the Maas river and thus offer excellent sight on the surrounding areas and with a quite spectaculair view.

I took the opportunity to provide a little extra information. This chart makes it clear in a graphical way which buildings have already been built and which not. Clearly, the fainted buildings have already been built. Might be interesting for those interested yet not familiar with Rotterdam.

I'm already asking for that in the Dutch forum! I'll (or someone else) post it when someone made it, I'm not good to do that!

Why not add A(pproved), UC or B(uilt) to the name of each building.

Never been to Rotterdam, I have family who live there and I may be visiting next year. The development that looks the best is the Hoog aan de maas, very unique.
