TURIN | VENARIA REALE | Savoy royal palace reopens

Savoy royal palace reopens after 200 years of decay, 10 years of restoration and more than 200.000.000 Euros!!!
Venaria Reale is on the UNESCO World Heritage List along with other royal palaces near Turin, the so-called "Royal crown of delights".

Quote:
THE VENARIA REALE COMPLEX
The Palace, which was designed in 1658 by Amedeo di Castellamonte for Duke Carlo Emanuele II, together with the Gallery of Diana, Lemon-house, and Sant’Uberto galleries and chapel designed by Juvarra (1716-28) make up the “Versailles” of Turin: an outstanding complex which blends in beautifully with the village and surrounding park.
This complex of parklands and buildings, with its numerous annexes (church, stables, park and gardens) is the largest restoration project currently in progress in Europe: it has attracted considerable EU and regional investments in order to be restored for the public, as a tourist attraction of note. Stunning. Incredible place.
Glad Italians appreciate the value of this historical palace and have put their money into an authentic restoration. Very smart.

Wow, so incredibly beautiful.

Reminds me of a smaller Versailles.

Amazing rstoration! Not bad for bazillion euros!
I love the way the palace was renovated. In my country, most of the time, renovaing a heritage structure means actually destroying the structure's heritage itself.
