A great friend of mine always comments that he thinks Chisinau is one of the most amazing cities of Europe.. He thinks the gates of the city give it a very majestic style and that other parts of the city as downtown are extremely modern mixed with great government buildings and churches..
My opinion - it's a beautiful city with lots of great buildings. It's really kind of impressive for a person that never heard about the city, but I think my friend exaggerated a little bit when he said it's one of the most amazing of the whole Europe! hehe ... Anyway I gotta visit it personally to have a real opinion.. But I must admit some mixtures of buildings and monuments are really nice even by pictures!

nice update! thanks! Except its too bad that some parts or Chisinau still look a bit Soviet Times even by this days...needs a little renewal
As for all I definatly see people riding nice cars adn talking on the cell phones and of course the McDonald's! They got McDonalds yet in Tiraspol?lol....the soviet police car is funny...hahaa...reminds me a lot of my Ukraine

I don't think this building is exactly under construction (The design looks too old and too soviet). Probably one of the several hundred construction projects that were halted in 1991.

I am really curios about how the people from other countries (except Romania) see Moldova. I mean, we are influenced by our ties to our brothers...well, at least i am, but what's the oppinion of others? Especially after seeing the pictures posted here, and the comments...
