Cagayan de Oro City (3 April) -- THE Ayala Land Corporation, leading developer of the country’s high-end subdivisions, will officially start on April 27 the development of its 350-hectare prime property located at the mountains of barangays Camaman-an and Indahag, Cagayan de Oro City.

This after the City Council enacted on Monday Ordinance No. 2007-104, approving the application of the Ayala Land Incorporated for development permit of its high-end residential subdivision phase I with an area of 11.2 hectares.

Estrella Sagaral, city planning and development officer, said that the approval of the development permit and locational clearance from the city government will pave the way for the full blast construction of the real estate project.

After the permit’s approval, officials from Ayala Land informed us that the construction stage will start by May this year or shortly after the scheduled groundbreaking rites on April 27, she added.

Ayala is set to pour an initial investment of P4 billion to develop 80 hectares of the entire property, and will continue to develop gradually the remaining 270 hectares in the succeeding years.

Ayala Land envisioned to develop their property into several village complex that include residential units, sports facility, pocket park, watershed treatment facility, chapel, ravine orchards, promontory point, canyon trails and a central park.

City Mayor Vicente Y. Emano said that Ayala Land’s presence in the city will certainly boost the city’s economy, thus helping the employment of thousands of Cagayanons who will be given priority in the hiring of employees. (Cagayan de Oro City Information Office/PIA-MisOrOccCam i-Net)

CAGAYAN DE ORO: GATEWAY TO MINDANAO'S BIGGEST ECONOMY

-Cagayan de Oro is the Regional Center of Region X. Northern Mindanao remains to be the biggest regional economy in Mindanao contributing 27 percent to the island's total output in 2006. Northern Mindanao had the biggest GRDP (Gross Regional Domestic Product) in Mindanao for the 3rd year in a row and continues to secure itself as the Trade/Services hub this part of the country. Cagayan de Oro is one of the main components of the Cagayan de Oro-Iligan Corridor and being the Premier City of the Biggest Economy of Mindanao the city is truly at the forefront of Mindanao's Bright Future.

CAGAYAN DE ORO: TRADE & SERVICES CENTER OF MINDANAO

Cagayan de Oro has the largest & busiest port in the whole Mindanao and also situated nearby is the MICT which is the second most progressive port in the whole Mindanao making Cagayan de Oro the heart of the two busiest sea ports in the island. Also in the nearby town of Laguindingan there will be an Airport of International standards. This will be built at a cost of over P5 billion thus giving the city and Mindanao the most modern facility for air travel. Cagayan de Oro will also be served by the first -ever phase of the proposed Mindanao Railway Project being the top priority of the government since its part of the only Industrial Corridor in Mindanao - the CDO-Iligan Corridor.

The demand will push our Gov't to construct the Int'l Airport even if they don't consider the project a priority

UNSTOPPABLE CDO

Ayala's 4 lane highway( which will be a national highway from Bontong, Camaman-an, CDO to Bukidnon) and its administrative building are both under construction now. Likewise, Robinson's engineers and workers are still digging up the 9-hectare lot at upper Camaman-an to build a grandeur subdivision and a 5 star,high-rise hotel. WATTA BOOM for us Kagay-anons! Better check it out!

UNSTOPPABLE CDO

CDO's growth now is unstoppable But the two opposition congressional candidates, Rufus Rodriguez and Ronaldo Uy had already won the elections. Will their victory affect the planned and on-going city and district projects financed by GMA's administration?
Anyway, CDO will even surpass Davao City in the near future in terms of income as what the American, European, Chinese, Indian, and Korean investors had already eyed and predicted. This kind of motion from them had already been supported by CDO's strategic location and mobility of its transportation and trade to be the hub of new investments ( both foreign and local), by CDO's booming regional factories and shopping centers of whole Northern Mindanao, and by CDO's aggressive peace in whole Mindanao region. Much more in the near future when CDO will become metropolis since Opol and Tagoloan are already MISOR municipal candidates to become cities. If these two would become cities, surely CDO will be metro. El Salvador City, which is nearby Opol, will be incorporated also.
Maybe these are the reasons why Ayala Company chose CDO than Davao City in promoting its first investments in whole Mindanao. VIVA KAGAY-ANONS! Be proud!

CDO's area is no longer 488.000 km squared

Guys, CDO's land area now becomes more bigger now since my cousins who reside at Ala-e had told me yesterday that they are now part of CDO's residents since Ala-e (which the whole area was part of Bukidnon) had been already divided between CDO and Bukidnon. I never got the whole detail when was the division and acquisition of large part of Ala-e by CDO happened. Help me likewise to check it out guys.
Anyways, if it is true, then CDO's former land area, 488.000 km squared is now at more than 600.000 km squared in my estimate. WATTA GREAT!
