Kesineni is good but beds are narrow. Sleeper buses have to have toilets.

Its a good start. They should build up on this technology and not only for buses but for fleet vehicles as well. They can do this using VTRS - vehicle tracking and recovery system. Also i think there is a need for creation of an eCall system like in Europe and GM's OnStar here in the United States. But of course traffic will have to be organized and advanced rules must be in place to make this happen.

Mysore, Nov. 16- In an effort to provide the best of the transport facilities to the public, KSTRC will be launching Intelligent Transport System in city tomorrow. Deputy Chief Minister R. Ashok will launch the System tomorrow at Senate Hall, University of Mysore. The event will be presided by MLA H.S. Shankarlinge-gowda and District In-charge Minister S.A. Ramdas will be the chief guest.

The new transport system will enable passengers to know about buses traveling on different routes. KSRTC will install electronic display boards at various bus shelters across the city which will provide information about the buses traveling in that areas.

This apart, passengers can also get details about the buses on their mobile phones. Each bus shelter will be given a code which is displayed at the shelters. On contacting the number through mobile phones, passengers will get know about the exact time when the bus would come to the bus shelter.

Dy. CM and Transport Minister R. Ashok said that the Intelligent Transport System will soon be extend to other cities too.

Now the google maps feature for all the ac buses seems to be working as well. Good to see such projects being implemented throughout the country.
