GHMC, SCR settle dispute
Hyderabad, Sep 30: The dispute between the GHMC and the South Central Railway over acquiring railway property for widening the Sangeet-Tarnaka road was on Tuesday settled before the High Court. After both parties gave their consent, the court said an arbitrator committee would be appointed to settle the dispute. The GHMC agreed to restore the railways’ telecom and electrical installations at its own cost. These were damaged early this year when the GHMC demolished railway properties. It also agreed to construct boundary walls to protect the railway properties after taking over land.

The civic body told the court that the notification for acquiring the railway properties will be withdrawn within 15 days after depositing Rs 45 crore as provisional compensation.

HC defends DILHL land: The High Court held that the decision of the government to allot land to Deccan Infrastructure and Land Holding Limited (DILHL) was within the provisions of the Agriculture Land Ceiling Act.

Justice N.V. Ramana, while dismissing petitions challenging the notification, observed that the government had the power to allot land taken under the Act for non-agricultural purposes. DILHL, a special purpose vehicle of the AP Housing Board, allotted the land to Indu Projects to develop a township at Bachupally. The judge said the petitioners had not approached the High Court with clean hands and had suppressed certain facts in their petition.

Mr.Babji I do follow all the Indexes and especially our own sensex and nifty.
The offical WPI as on 18 sept was 12.14% CPI will be much more as indicated by the present price scenario but the Govt announces only the WPI.Here is news which might interests you.

Choice Hotels India, a leading American chain of budget hotels, has entered into an agreement with Sai Anirudh Construction and Developers Pvt Ltd for managing Hotel Quality Inn Pearl at Gachibowli here. The hotel, which will come up with an investment of Rs 25 crore, will be the third in the State capital for the company. The one-acre property will have 64 rooms and a conference facility.

Road-widening: tough task for GHMC
Several religious structures to be shifted besides acquiring properties - Coordination with other depts. for shifting power lines, water pipelines, etc. - R&B Department too has a big role to play as many roads come under it

HYDERABAD: There are several hurdles for the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) to cross if it is to meet the stiff deadlines fixed by Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy to improve road network by widening in the next four to six months in the capital.

Other than religious structures and acquiring properties through the land acquisition route, the municipal corporation has to coordinate with other departments for shifting of utilities like power lines, water pipelines and so on...

Airport connectivity: Regarding the airport connectivity roads, which were to be ready six months ago, the corporation has to acquire six more properties between Tarnaka and Uppal while 134 were demolished. From Owaisi Hospital to Chandrayangutta, it has acquired 123 of 124 properties with a school building remaining, likely to be demolished during the current vacation.

The town planning wing is yet to take over 23 properties between Chandrayangutta junction and Bandlaguda ‘Y’ junction and the stretch has to be handed over to R&B for laying road. Same goes for the road from Bandlaguda junction towards Aramghar junction where 43 properties are to be acquired before R&B takes over...

Alternate road: The alternate road for airport from Chandrayangutta via Barkas and onto Srisailam road too is being taken up by R&B but two religious properties have to be shifted and of the 128 private structures, demolition of just eight has been taken up. The Charminar-Falaknuma road too has to tackle 20 remaining private properties together with a few religious structures. Besides, the corporation has to take over close to 150 properties for other roads touching Lakdi-ka-pul, Jambagh and Himayatnagar. There are 120 properties on Punjagutta-Erragadda route alone and close to 100 for the Charminar Pedestrianisation Project -- all these excluding religious structures.

Wargal in Mulug mandal is 40 km from Hyderabad - 1,000 acres of Government land identified
WARGAL (Medak dt.): Senior official of Tata Motors inspected yet another site at Wargal village in Mulug mandal of Medak district, 40 km from Hyderabad, for the proposed Nano car project on Monday.

The Tata company zeroed in on Hyderabad, from among the potential sites offered by the Government in Visakhapatnam, Nellore and Anantapur districts, to explore the possibility of setting up the small car project in Andhra Pradesh apart from considering offers from other States.

Senior GM arrives: Senior General Manager of Tata Motors M. B. Kulkarni flew in here on Monday morning and headed straight for the site from the airport. He was accompanied by Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Executive Director D. Muralidhar Reddy and other officials.

Tata Motors’ Managing Director Ravi Kant and his team visited a 1,000 acre site Seetharampuram village in Shahbad mandal of Ranga Reddy district on Sunday. “As the team is keen about sites 30 km to 40 km away from Hyderabad. “Though yet another site at Buchinelli near Zaheerabad, about 70 km from Hyderabad was also identified, and the team preferred Wargal because of its proximity to the city,” APIIC Managing Director B. P. Acharya told The Hindu. About 1,000 acres of Government land has been identified in Wargal village of which 650 acres is in one block and the remaining in another, but both could be connected by a road, said Mr. Reddy. Mr. Kulkarni reportedly informed APIIC officials that “Wargal too qualified for their requirement”.

Apparently, their criteria was proximity to a metro rather than a sea-port or an airport. Even Singur from where the Tatas pulled out was only 40 km away from Kolkata, Mr. Reddy said.

“Tata Motors officials, who visited the two sites, will convey their impressions to Chairman Mr. Ratan Tata who is expected to take a call in the location of the Nano project soon, though they gave no concrete indication to us,” said Mr. Acharya.

HMDA auction gets 17 tenders
Hyderabad, Oct. 6: Of the 99 plots that were auctioned online by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) in September, tenders have been received only for 17 plots till now. Tenders for the 17 plots have been finalised and notices sent to respective bidders for payment before the specified dates. The 99 plots were auctioned at Nandgiri Hills layout, Asifnagar new layout, Huda Techno Enclave, Madhapur (Sector I), Ramchandrapuram (Chandanagar), Tellapur Residential Complex, Nallagandla Residential Complex, Vansthalipuram Residential Complex, Miyapur Residential Complex, Asifnagar(old) Residential complex and Mushk Mahal Residential Complex.

Nine tenders were received from Miyapur residential complex, two from Nallagandla residential complex, two from Ramchandrapuram ring town, three from Asifnagar (old) residential complex and one from Tellapur residential complex at a total cost of Rs 17,78,66,856 against a total offset price of Rs.17,49,11,250.

Nano in AP if Singur loss is paid by state
Hyderabad, Oct. 6: Tata Motors is ready to relocate its Nano project to Andhra Pradesh if the government pays for the loss that the company incurred in shifting out of Singur. Tata Motors officials put the figure at Rs 700 crore. The Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy, offered to compensate the loss “to some extent”, about Rs 300 crore. “The issue of relocation cost got highlighted during the talks,” said a official in the industries department.

“Though they had indicated this issue before their visit to the state, we did not anticipate that they were so serious about it.” The government offered cent per cent VAT exemption for the plant, which would work out to more than Rs 100 crore a year and even give land to ancillary units. With the Tata delegation insisting on total compensation, a visibly disturbed Chief Minister asked his officers not to bother to stretch out for the project.

By Monday evening, Tata Motors officials went “out of contact” with officials of the Chief Minister Office. “The message is clear, they don’t want to talk at this juncture,” said a CMO official. Earlier on Monday morning, the Tata Motors delegation visited the Vargal mandal in Medak district, about 50 km from the city, to inspect an alternative site. The government offered 600 acres immediately and another 650 acres after acquisition.
