Sanitation issue aside, atleast one person used a condom in Pakistan.

The escalating persecution of Pakistan's minorities is reminiscent of a poem by German theologian, Martin Neimoller.
"First they came for the communists,
and I didn't speak because I wasn't a communist.
Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak because I wasn't a Jew.
Then they came for the Catholics,
and I didn't speak because I wasn't a Catholic.
Then they came for me,
and there was no one left to speak for me."

We need to learn from past, and we need to do it real fast, before its too late.

When I used to study at FAST, we had these college buses (point) that used to pick n drop. My stop was right in front of an apartment building. One day I was standing there waiting that I noticed a lot of flies. I looked down and I was standing right in between a pair of used pads (nicely stained) that a woman had thrown down her window. Beat that!

I have to say we need to get those condom dispensers or those vending machines.

I (Yes I) once tried to buy a pair and this guy at the counter kept looking at me so I eventually stepped back and ran out the door.

Well I didnt really ran but I was pretty furious.

Interesting. I've never seen such a reaction.

It reminded me of this prank (sort of) I pulled some time back. I was at Shell Select with two female friends. So I went to the counter and they had this woman there. So I asked for condoms. I chose, and took two of those. She kept looking at my friends, thinking I was about to have a threesome or something. Needless to say, my friends did not find it funny at all.

And health care needs are likely to grow as the 2025 projection for those ages 15 to 49 rises to 121 million, nearly double the 2000 estimate.
From the same link:

Pakistan at a Glance, 2007

Population, 2007: 169 million

Projected population, 2025: 229 million

Projected population, 2050: 295 million

Projected population change, 2007-2050: 74%

Births per 1,000 population: 31

Deaths per 1,000 population: 8

So, natural change = 23 births per 1,000 population

Infant mortality rate*: 78

Total fertility rate**: 4 (2 births are needed in order to replace the pop. anything below 2 means an ageing and declining population and anything above 2 means that the population is expanding.)

Percent of population < age 15: 40

Percent of population age 65+: 4

I've read some predictions that state that Pakistan could possibly be the 4th most populated nation by 2050. Only behind India, China & USA.

I haven't studied the demography of Pakistan that much, but it is definitely over-populated. I think, following China's example may be the only way to solve this problem.

Yeah! Some say 4th, some say 5th (after Indonesia). But we have managed to reduce our fertility rate and more and more people are using contraception, so there is still hope.

We are currently the 6th most populated country, after China, India, USA, Indonesia & Brazil. We are predicted to overtake Brazil in a couple of years. So we will DEFINITELY be 5th most populated nation in the near future. We can still prevent ourselves from becoming number 4 though.

It doesn't matter who is on top of us in the list & who is below. Many of the countries on that list are much more developed than Pakistan & in a much better shape to maintain their population(s). Pakistan is just not there, yet, in terms of development.

Without even checking I can say quite confidently that Japan's density is much more than that of Pakistan (urban areas). Even overall, it'd beat Pakistan.
