D106 (section between Posedarje and the island of Pag) used to be a nightmare. It was completely renovated 3 years ago. Now I really enjoy driving on it.

I was wondering, since you Eastern European guys all drive very new cars, how much do they cost by average?

A 07 Peugeot 407 2.0 costs about € 30.000
A 07 Skoda Octavia 1.9 D costs about € 29.000

(Dutch prices).

That's quite unaffordable for a private car. Most cars like that on the Dutch roads are lease cars from the company.

My Nissan is not that new(maybe 3 years). Its actually under my father's name. He got a new company Volvo,and gave me his "old" Nissan. He liked it too much to sell.

I used to drive '99 Skoda Octavia 1.6 LX. I really like Octavia.
Skoda Octavia RS is probably going to be my next car.

7. Why Struma motorway is the best in the world?
1. '93 Toyota Carina 1.6 (something newer can be seen on horizon for next year - Japanese of course)
2. Olympus C750 UZ
3. Favorite and really picturesque motorways/roads I've seen/driven - Italian A3 close to Regio di Calabria and some other parts, also A1 between Bologna and Firenze, Italian A10 between Genova and Nice, Austrian A10 between Spittal and Salzburg, narrow and windy road on Sorrento peninsula/Amalfi coast (south of Naples), there are many other impressive roads, especially some Croatian ones
4. worst motorways: parts of Italian A3, motorway between Havana and Pinar del Rio (it is however quite picturesque), old Hungarian M7;
worst main road: 50 km between Phnom Penh and Saigon, essentially very dusty construction yard;
worst other roads: too many to count them, I often drive on very bad roads (because of my job and my hobbies).
5. Slovenian mountains
6. Beer on Ljubljanica river banks
7. Struma is the most known motorway with the least informations available

My random question would be: is driving on very bad roads one of your hobbies?

Roads to some mountains and hills (I like mountaineering) are often very very crappy. And when doing my job, you often need do drive on cart tracks.

prices at June 2007:
Skoda Fabia 1.4 combi basic version = ~41.000 PLN = 10.500 €
my Skoda Fabia 1.4 combi active version (AC, 2nd airbag, alarm etc.) + LPG installation - 50.000 PLN = 12.800 €

I'm co-owner with my father.

This question/statement is a bit skybar-ish, but I find it interesting: a few days ago I saw (on Ljubljana ring) for the first time in my life a Maltese car plate! Anyone else who's seen it outside Malta?

Chriszwolle: Yes, but in western Europe even basic versions are very well equiped. For example, can You buy in Netherlands Skoda Fabia 1.2? It is the best selling version in Poland.

Verso:Malta? This summer i've seen almost every european car plate, even from Albania. But Malta... I don't think so.

I've seen already many exotic license plates in my city, including Albania, Moldova, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Liberia... And in Switzerland I've seen Morocco, Brazil, Syria, Kuwait and even Iceland.

I haven't driven in many countries but some in Mexico could win this trophy.
In Spain, A-4 through Despeñaperros gorge as the worst Autovía. I could name countless terrible roads though.

Because it's impossible to have an accident with those shiny crash barriers guiding your way.
