Airport Jewelers are Sooo bad that I actually find them amusing.
However I HATE HATE HATE those Fucillo car commercials. They irritate me down to my very SOUL.

Fucillo I hate with every fiber of my being. I've hated them longer than the average Buffalonian on account of being introduced to and having to endure that assmunch's commercials on Watertown/Syracuse TV while in college. I can't wait until he leaves a big fat (eeeeuuuuuuuuuuggggge-ah if you will) bloated corpse behind. In the Boston area, FOX 25's self-promoting commercials are almost as bad. Especially the ones with the updates on the day's weather (past weather, never an actual forecast), you know, in case you didn't have a window or something and couldn't find the weather report anywhere else. Bob's Stores commercials are pretty annoying as well. Not to mention when I was out there last weekend, I fully realized how blessedly free of presidential campaign ads we are.

You KNOW you're Buffalonian if you've got the Pizza Pizza phone number memorized, even though it's in Toronto and the thought of Canadian pizza (coughTwoForOnegag) sickens you. Nine six seven, eleven, eleven ...

Only "Canadian pizza" I think I've ever had was at a place called Monkey Joe's in Ottawa.
I actually thought it was pretty good, at the time anyways. When I was in NH/MA last weekend I had pizza twice and it didn't seem as good. I think I'm realizing how thin their crust is or something, and the sauce is much sweeter. The place in Dracut is still pretty good though; I'm just wondering what I'd think of my at-the-time favorite. Haven't had it since the night before moving out.

Just got my Thrashers tix... I was considering just going there and saving the convenience charges, but my luck I'd spend 3 hours to get there and the damn thing would be sold out and nothing else to do on account of being a Sunday. I would not be a very happy camper.
I was going to purchase a parking pass as well, but I read some reviews that said parking and traffic flow around the arena is a complete disaster, and many said you could park farther away for cheaper and just take MARTA. That's essentially what I do for games in Buffalo for that matter, so that is what I will do in this case. If I get mugged, it's DT's fault, I'm just telling you now.

Well, MARTA is smarta!
...and you can't blame me for anything ... except being trendy. I'm looking at some houses tomorrow. I think I'm going to plant roots here since I have the option of not going to Miami now. What do you all think of these? http://www.bhammls.com/(t0frem45roef...spx?mls=358556 http://www.bhammls.com/(t0frem45roef...spx?mls=358711 http://www.bhammls.com/(t0frem45roef...spx?mls=363675 http://www.bhammls.com/(t0frem45roef...spx?mls=351172 I like the first and second ones best. The second one is right across the street from my best friend's house too. Last edited by DallasTexan; December 29th, 2007 at 06:55 AM. |

I like #1 the most. The house looks nice; #2 and #3 aren't my style, and #4 is nice as well. #1 looks like your All-American house, and is a little bit cheaper than #4.
All of these prices are really low. Houses like that would go for about $300,000 or $350,000 around here. A lot of regular rowhouses go for over $300,000 in the city of Wilmington. |

I've narrowed it down between #1 and #3. #3 is incredible inside... the pictures do not do it justice.
The prices are cheap, aren't they? Best of all, none of the tax bills of these homes will be above $800 per year. |

For me it would come down to neighborhoods. The yard on #3 is much bigger, and I would like that. But #1 has a brick exterior, and that's way better than the stucco on #3, IMO. Also, you might prefer a smaller yard...less maintenance. The price for both is unbelievable low. I didn't see any square footage for either house though. Did I miss that somewhere?

Yeah, for some reason, they're not listed.
House #1 is 2,540 square feet (not including the basement) and #3 is 2,200 square feet (2,800 with basment). I think I'm going to put an offer in today on #3. The lot is much better - it's on a bluff overlooking the entire neighborhood and it's on the Boulevard -- which means parkland right outside your front door. |

#1 and #3. Just redo the outside of #3 and it'll look really nice.

This thread should be renamed the DT nondevelopment discussion thread.

Life is just one crushing defeat after another, until you just wish Flanders was dead. Get used to it.

What is Buffalo's relationship with Erie, PA? BTW, Erie just opened a gorgeous new bayfront convention center.
