Maybe it's just that the line will pass under the GiraSole... I mean we've been taking pics of the same site for months, and the rendering shows it there, so it can't be wrong.

You clearly all took me out of context. I didn't say this wasn't the right PLOT I said the WORK was not for the building.

On another forum (probably WNY), a forum member had asked a contracter when Girasole was going to come out of the ground. The contractor answered that the work being done is NOT for the building but for the 7 line extension. The building will not be built until after the line has been put up.

So yes this is the site, however the steel is for the 7 line launch box.

EDIT: Here is the link thanks to NYGUY's post in SSP qouting scumonkey:

My Bad.....
i went by the site today and saw a lot of construction.
There was a foreman there that was nice enough to stop
what he was doing and answer some of my questions.
All the work that is presently going on at this site is completely
unrelated to the Girasole.
What looked to be the start of its foundation is actually the
station stop for the new # 7 line.
He also told me that if there still was going to be a building
located here, they couldn't start on it for at least 5 more years.
That's how long they expected it would take for them to finish
this part of the subway extension.

on another note....
The entire little park just across the street to the north, is now
completely barricaded around it's perimeter ready to be dug up.

great location, this really will jazz up that area.

i wish the other building was across the street not next door, it would look better on the skyline

i saw went to look at an apartment around that area, i thought the address was 30th and 10th was quite disappointed with the area, but i guess a few blocks can make a big difference, i might go to the site today, got nothing better todo.
