No one even knows what Sherwood's project will look like. The renderings are not what will be built.

Any reason to keep this thread alive? Will remove it in case nobody answers either. Please somebody post reasonably recent news or anything.

NEW YORK | The GiraSole | 323m | 1060ft | 66 fl | App

Since the old thread was put in the DN Archives for whatever reason when it's subject is still very much alive, I think it's appropriate to start a temporary thread for this building since there is news about it! I hope that the old thread will be brought back here with this thread merged into it since it would be a shame to have to look in two places for any past information and further updates on this very much alive project.

Avison Young Leasing Agent for 3 Hudson Blvd

January 17, 2013

Quote:
Avison Young’s hottest new assignment is to lease up the 1.7 million square-foot trophy building at the smoking Hudson Yards area here. Potential tenants would be best to keep 3 Hudson Blvd. in mind, as the Moinian Group has appointed the firm as the exclusive leasing agent of the property.

AY principal and tri-state president Arthur Mirante was unable to comment on the assignment at press time. Be sure to check back later this week on GlobeSt.com for further details.

For those outside of New York City or unfamiliar with the area, 3 Hudson Blvd. will become a class A office property, located right across from the Javits Convention Center.

I've moved this back. The Moinian group is very much on track to start this tower when work on the 7 Line extension is complete and the leasing market improves. It is indeed very much alive. Hiring a leasing agent in 2013 ahead of the projected 2014 start means that the project is quite on track.

Work on the 7 Line is in the homestretch: (Dec. 11 2012)

Nice to see them tapping an agent. As this tower is mixed use, it won't require as big an anchor tenant, a medium sized law firm, or PE firm would do.

I agree. I think that this tower has about 1.2m sf of office and 500k sf of residential.

Expecting a 400m tower here. The design is pretty good, so I hope it won't change much.

Good news indeed. Hopefully they'll get some tenants soon. It should help that a possible start of construction is not that far away anymore.
Is this tower to be built on top of the 7 Line extension?
