Yeah, but it's new, tasteless and eye-soreing.

I really like the first and third- nice style, clean and doesn't look cheap as some others do. As for the pink, there should be law forbidding mutras to decide for the look of a building
Where it is?Someone should post a thread about not-so-good-looking buildings That will be fun.

BTW those are by far not the only new buildings in Sofia, they can even go for old ,because they've been in use for some years now (except for the first one,i'm not really sure where that one is and I would appreciate it if you could enlighten me ).

. The value of the fence and the statue usually valiue by far more than the actual "houses". Oh and the pink color fits right in. I prefer the grey commie next to it by far.

From the others, I only saw the second and third. The second- when I was back in Bulgaria. The bus-station is nice, clean but a bit tiny for the traffic. And I think something must be done about the access to the highway. When I traveled to Plovdiv, we spent one hour just to leave Sofia. dewrob, I think in Bulgaria they call all buildings like this one, regardless of the actual style, "mutra-baroque"

Guys, here is the first answer i got today. It is from dir.bg
Customer Support Dir.bg And this is what I replied: Благодаря много за отговора, Двете камери са ни известни и в писмото ми до вас дори ви поздравих за тази на хижа Алеко. Радвам се също така и че споменахте "разполага засега с 2 собсвени камери". Искрено се надяваме да увеличите броят на камерите, ако наистина планувате това. Поздрави от всички българи от skyscrapercity.com. |

Oh God, this is SO bad
It's jest mesmerising and fantastic! But what I saw with my eyes in Izgrev (Plovdiv) a piece of our early mutro-baroque is as bad as this. I declare a no-win situation.(antenite na fona na tozi shediovur ubivat vsichko detsko v men )An interesting link: http://forum.skycode.com/topic.asp?w...topic_id=69179 Last edited by dia; April 3rd, 2007 at 03:59 PM. |

I don't find the pink one to be that bad. Of course many gypsies and mutri love this style but if it is built like this one without the numerous statues like showns in dewrob's post, it looks pretty decent...c'mon we are from the Balkans, we have seen much much worst...

oooo, the pink is bad. It's in the middle of Vyzrajdane square and just doesn't fit in. I think it's disgusting but half the people I've told that I don't like it said that it wasn't bad at all. So much for taste...

These are from BPS (unfortunately mostly old ones, there's a lot of construction work there and AFAIK two large buildings (500+ employees) are soon going to be completed (HP Bulgaria and Globul):
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sorry, I couldn't find images of the most eccentric office complex - the funny one with the lake in front of it. It seems that soon I'm going to be relocated there (blah, to the end of the world..).. at least I would be able to take some shots. The traffic to Mladost 4 is awful, with all these fscking Billa, Kaufland, Hit, etc hypermarkets and the neverending subway construction, they must do something to improve the infrastructure there ASAP

Very nice video of Sofia at night. And the music actualy got better with time. The first song was incredibly stupid, the second one was average, but the one that started in the end is one of my favourite
Here are two pics of the undergorund that I managed to make. I wanted to make a picture of all eight operating stations, but they told me it was VERBOTEN (forbidden) ,so I just sneaked one with my mobile ![]() This is the entrance to Serdika station. ![]() This is one of the new trains. I just want to say that I haven't seen any of the old blue "СДЯЛАНО В СССР" trains for months. Every time I use the subway one of these green ones comes and I see the same train going in the opposite direction.

Why would it be forbidden to shoot pics in the subway? Does not make sense as a lot of other things in Bulgaria don't. Thanks for the shots though.
