They are, or it least, were. Aura is supposed to be built at Yonge and Gerrard which is relatively close to the downtown core, while 1 Bloor East was planned to be built at Yonge and Bloor, but it was cancelled.

Is the 210 metre height official then? If so, this will be the first 200 metre + tower north of Richmond Street.

Hmm. I don't see anything special in the design. Hope it looks better in real life than in the renders.

Are there any other renders of this project, other than the ones posted in the first couple of pages?

Well, it looks like they got a lot yet to do to get this one done. I can't wait!

It's a luxury chain, and a Toronto company, so I imagine the details and materials are what elevates this project above the rest. That square podium on the corner reminds me of that Louis Vuitton store in Hong Kong. I hope it ends up looking just as glamourous.

Everybody has a Louis Vuitton and some are just 'fake" ! Not my kind of high end design. Too tacky knowing that anybody who wants to make a statement buys a Louis Vuitton bag these days.

I rather buy a less known but also high end stuff and see those beautiful Canadian brands coming up with such additions to the city and not only these " ordinary" stuff.

too bad your beautiful Canadian brands can't afford this place at its capacity, or they'd be there.

My post was regarding the design of the facade, not the bags they sell inside the store.

Hkskyline, I respect you and your updates, but I honestly think this one doesn't make sense at all. I posted an update of the 19th of january a few posts above yours. And then you post one of the 16th of january. I don't see the point..

My older update had a few more angles of the construction site and a rendering in the shot as well. If they're exactly the same I wouldn't post them here of course. Don't think it's repetitive at all.

The whole point of these threads is as a record of construction activity from beginning to end. As I see it, as long as the photos are of the building, the post is on topic and relevant.

I routinely post images that are several months old if they offer a fascinating perspective of the building. To prevent older photos from being posting is the same as losing these views (and a bit of history for the building) forever.

Well that only means for the 4th picture in your post. I'm just saying that's it's unlogical.
