True, and AADT will rise even more after they opened last missing sections of R1.

I saw on a map a city called Vlachy.
Does Vlachy mean Romanians (Walachians) in Slovak?

It is a bit complicated. In Polish Włochy means Italy. In Slovak and Czech adjective "vlašský" has the same historical meaning as in Polish, i.e. coming from Italy. So I assume that Vlachy has somthing to do with Italy as well... For example, village called Spišské Vlachy has also a hungarian name Szepesolaszi, where olaszi has the same "italian" meaning.

We also recognize word Valach, that has more meanings - 1) castrated horse, 2) inhabitant of Valašský region (near city of Vsetín) and 3) inhabitant of subcarpathian region called Valšsko as well.

I realized what you said after I found on internet the Hungarian name of the city, containing 'olasz' = 'Italian' in it, which resembles to Hungarian 'olah' = 'Walachian' = medieval name for Romanians.
Thanks.

In Polish Italia is called Włochy but also Romania was called Wołoszczyzna and Romanians Wołochy before they established Romania in 1881.

Thanks.
I know this general problem that a people is called by totally different etnonyms in other languages is generated by the historical moment when 2 different populations have met each other:
- Slavic populations entered in Europe used words resembling to Woloch to determine Latin speaking population; also they used words derived from Nemacka for German speaking populations, while the Germans calls themselves Deutsch etc.
- in medieval Romanian there was a word derived from Lech used for Poland.

Yep, it will. It's a very good price, esp. compared to the one in cancelled PPP project.

Ok so to tell truth from insiders. The prices are down because they (the companies) do not count 30 years of maintenance and the the calculations on PPP were made on 9 % interest for loans from the banks. The point is that they were calculating the horizont of 30 years. Today may be the interest lower but nobody knows how will the interest for loans be after 20 or 25 years. That is one point.
In private conversations i was told that also they had to cut the wages for the workers in comparison to PPP they are now significantly lower.

The stated PPP price is only price for constrution, otherwise it will be three times higher. We're not fools Lower prices are ther because of lack of public investments so companies need to work even if they don't make significant profit on that. OTOH, PPP projects were hugely overestimated and overpriced because of the pressure in time, unsure financing and many other reason that resulted into overpricing of construction costs. It's not about the 30 years horizon. It was just some kind of hedge policy. Even official state expertises were much higher than the final price in the current tender.

You are just a victim of a common demagogy. NO, those savings are NOT because of no 30 year maitanance costs and interest costs. CONSTRUCTION COSTS are 40-50% lower than expected. Average construction costs of 1 km of new D1 sections between Martin and Presov that are in costruction (or getting close to), in medium-heavy terrain, 26,5m width, seems to be lower, than average construction costs of 1km of new "PPP" R1 in easy-medium terrain and with 22,5m width. And no, no maintenance and interest costs for R1 are included in this comparation.
