Well, the Suceava - Chernivtsi (DN2 - M19) border crossing is the only one significant to through traffic to and from Ukraine. There are more of course, but most of the UA/RO border is mountainous or very rural, like northern Bukovina and Maramureş.

The Galaţi - Odesa road passes briefly through Moldova, so that's not a direct border crossing with UA.

So which other (big) international road border crossings are there between them? I've discovered 2 additional crossings, but I'm not sure, if they are international, let alone big/important.

I've heard Saudis go to Bahrain to drink. I wonder what happens, if they come back to Saudi Arabia drunk.

It can be international as well since Flandres borders both the Netherlands and France.

Today I've heard Slovakia will close all border crossing with Ukraine except the biggest one in Vyšné Nemecké. Border controls will be more strict than before, every single car will be scanned and people will be examined. IMO officials are a bit overacting, people who are coming from Ukraine say everything's all-right there, at least in Zakarpatya oblast which borders Slovakia.

Anyone knows who is in charge of German former border checks (motorway ones)? Is it the Bundespolizei?

I have one recent experience with a check, and that was on A81 between Stuttgart and Singen, they checked my car for drugs. It was the Bundespolizei.
