They are because of domestic reindeer not supposed to cross border, there is a fence all along the border to keep them on the right side.

Another 'civilization ahead' border. Now next time you'll read articles about the 'euro core' and the 'euro periphery' in the newspaper, you'll know what is meant by that.

Sentier du cimetičre, at the border between Armentičres and Comines-Warneton.

During WW1 it was right on the front line between the German and British trenches.

From tomorrow, 12.6, EU citizens can travel to Serbia just with the ID card.
This regards also the citizens of Norway, Iceland and Switzerland.

Yes, that is true. I also heard that you have to show 50 euro at the border crossing point for each day you intend to stay in Serbia.

Actually that's a really good idea! We NEED to see more then just European borders with only an occasional (i.e. rare) photo or two of the USA- Mexico or Thailand borders. IMHO
Like some pics from the middle east, central Asia, Africa, or South America.

This is the main Colombia/Ecuador border crossing point. It is in the Panamerican highway located at 2,800 meters amsl in the Interandean Valley.

Relatively new bridge between Portugal and Spain. There are two villages on each side, 12 km apart. Prior to the construction of this bridge, by road they were 144km apart.

Again, Portugal and Spain. I presume that this was taken in Portugal, as the Spanish sign is just about on the other side of the border stone. This means that, to put the sign up, the Spanish must have gone into Portugal.

I don't know if I'm the only one who couldn't see the pictures, but I have replaced the links in your quote because the ones you posted link to a webpage instead of a picture

Anyway I love those villages that are located next to a border. You live in Spain while your plants are so big they have reached Portugal

It's not that weird Europe is dominating this thread. For one thing, there are much more border crossings in Europe than on other continents, where you sometimes have to travel hundreds of kilometers to get to the next border crossing. In Europe, there are often border crossings every 10 km or less. Another issue is that European border crossings are much better accessible due to the Schengen agreement. Cross-border traffic in Europe is also much more common than in any other part of the world.

Instead of moaning there aren't enough pics from other continents, you should hit the road and take some pics yourself
