^ As many Romanians never drove on a motorway, hail to the horses who did!

@ bogdymol: love the emergency lane. It looks like it was made of dirt.

I think so, look between the cart and the barrier on the right, there's a space of dirt

They wouldn't be allowed on freeways here.

(In Pennsylvania, with the Amish, the issue's not hypothetical....)

A couple of days ago the Garching Nord entrance to the German A8 was blocked due to a herd of sheep being moved from one side to the other of the Autobahn. The shepherd didn't find a better solution than making them cross on the overpass in which are located entrances and exits... I couldn't believe my eyes: I saw sheep and mules on Sicily roads, I didn't expect them in Germany...

A2 motorway (bridge over Danube), Romania:

This pictures were not made on an overpass, but on the actual motorway.

Well, it looks like a bunch of new border crossings are about to be (re-)erected in Europe.

Can't they just install some CCTV cameras on every cross-border road so they register all the licence plates of cars passing by?

The current issue is basically about Non-European immigrants, and most of them are travelling by train (since they're just arrived to Europe and don't have a car).

I guess so, but they're using some loopholes, when someone here passes a Danish crossing can they please post the re-built buildings (or are they still there like with Portugal and Spain in alot of places, oftehn they're just cottages and people had to pull over?)?

Alevanoso [P]/Alcanices[E]

As normal, from the blog "Histˇrias da Raia"

The border-defining treaty between Portugal and Castille and Leon was signed in the latter in 1297

Looking towards Portugal

And towards Spain

I don't know. But the Swedish already has a customs station at the Íresund tollgate (where i've been pulled over 2 times.)

I guess that you have been pulled over because of those random checks near Schengen borders.

^ That means two years ago I was lucky, they let me go without any check, although our car had the Romanian plates.
