┐Love the name...?

While conflicts between both countries, once I saw both maps (Bolivian and Peruan ones) where the word of the lake "Titicaca" appeared just in the border but in one map "Titi" in one country and "caca" in the other country... and upside down if looking the map of the other country.

Lake Titicaca is the highest sealable in the world.

P.S. "Caca" (the second pard of the word they put in the other country on the map) means "Rubish" in Spanish, language spoken at both countries!!!!

Apart of this... there are no border conflicts between Bolivia and Peru but there are between Bolivia and Chile.

After a conflict, they losed the coast and just 125 km (and all the Andes mountains) are between Bolivia and the Pacific ocean. It is one of those countries with no exit to sea and, being in between of mountains and Amazonas river, communications are rarely difficult.

The best way to get there (apart of plane) is... via Titicaca lake!!!!!. Going to Peru by ship, railway until Titicaca lake and a ferry to cross the border.

Titicaca is very near La Paz, the Bolivian capital. It is in a hughe zone where part of it is absolute flat!! and part of it is a deep valley... but "flat zone" (where airport is located) is over 4.100 m over sea level. It is the highest country capital all around the world, and when FIFA requested to play all international matches down 2.000m, Bolivian government said they will reject as a FIFA member is no exceptions.
And... there is an exception: La Paz stadium is the only one over 2.000m allowed for FIFA matches.

Should you arrive there, you will notice dificults to breath because less oxygen at 4100m.
Any doctor you will ask there (or event in your hotel) will recommend you a coca infusion.
Not a cocacola bererage but... and infusion make with coca leafs!!!!. Yes, the same used for cocaine but... drunk as a tea cup (and recommended by national health service).

As I said, Bolivia has no coast but... has a little naval army. It is how to not recognise they never reject the all borders when they had sea. It is very small but well trained.
They make all the training at the Titicaca lake and it is very hard. It includes practices of swimming there (in winter at 3.800m is not easy...), and later, half a year on the ocean inside the army of a friendship country. This is... anyone around except Chile (and Paraguay because not sea too). They can choose Argentina, Peru, Uruguay...

And... some pics of the Naval Army of that country without sea...

Too many countries all around the world are worried because sea level incresing.
Not the Bolivian. Should it increase 95m... they will have coast (trifinium betwen Paraguay, Brazil and Bolivia)... Part of South America would dissapear (and half of the world) but they will have sea again... this time to the Atlantic Ocean.

Through Pacific... very difficult. Current border to Chile is set in most of places over 4.000 m over sea level!!!!

Best thing is that it has the same meaning in Italian also... I'd never eat such an ice-cream.

Is it the highest water border or there is a river highest than this lake that makes border between two countries?

KakÓ icecream was probably dedicated to

... Anyway, that south american border looks very interesting! I like the fact that they say "thanks for your visit" and "welcome", it looks human.

off toppic
Cacāre: to defecate Look up cacare in Wiktionary, the free dictionary.

Cacō, cacāre was the chief Latin word for defecation.

Etymology

The word has a distinguished Indo-European parentage, which may perhaps relate to nursery words or children's slang that tends to recur across many different cultures. It would appear to be cognate with the Greek noun κοπρος, kopros, meaning "poop." It also exists in Germanic; English "poppiecock" derives from Dutch pappe kak, "diarrhea". It exists in Spanish, Catalan, Portuguese, Italian (cacca), Hebrew, Romanian, German, British English and French as well, caca being childish slang for excrement (similar to American English "poop"), a word whose level of obscene loading varies from country to country. It doesn't censor Scunthorpe though.

Caca is childish in Portugal, but also not polite at all.

I've edited this so as not to offend anyone who might have seen the word that DanFigFoz is on about.

I've just tested it without doing my magic and it wasn't censored either. Unless it just shows up on my screen because I posted it.
