Idk, but we started changing it when we were entering EU. Sweden and Finland still have yellow signs though.

Thats because that crossing is newer and your talking about the AA3, the A1 doesnt go further north that Porto.

no, that's not about direction signs, that's about normal signs (and side lines) - those were yellow in all ex-yugoslav countries till 2000.

They don't stamp anyway. I didn't get a stamp when I went there a few years ago.

Some of my friends visited Switzerland by a car this summer, they told me that there where no borders (Germany - Switzerland). The customs weren't working, they told that Switzerland is in Schengen.

No, CH is not in Schengen, but there might be a situation that there's no control.

As for the stamps, the last one in my (previous) passport were from 1999 or 2000 (Western/Southern Europe only). Later on they didn't bother on that.

Yeah, when we left Switzerland in 2004 and crossed over into Germany there was no control.
