What's the point? That happens quite often when you aren't checked on a border, e.g. last year we weren't checked when leaving Albania and entering Montenegro (joint control).

In that border location, the US is the isolated place that is only accessible via Canada.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DSePKJEDXFs (this is an interesting piece about Point Roberts)

Here is a Youtube piece about St Regis... where you can only get to Canada via the USA...on both sides of the border there you travel through native lands.

To get there you would have to go to Cornwall, Ontario, head over the bridge to Massena, NY, then head east to Hogansburg, NY and then head north to the Canada/Us border. It would probably be at least 30 minutes from the 401 to St Regis, QC assuming no big border lineups.

They're mostly an irrelevance anyway, as ID cards are mostly used to travel in that region. I'm guessing that this will be a sort of mini-Schengen - so an entry at Sukobin and exit at Janjina will be recognised by both countries.

Albania and Montegro doesn't use exit-stamps. But Kosovo do. My remark is about Kosovo.

Prehistoric times.

Czechs standing in line to enter Cesky Tesin (CZ) from Cieszyn (PL).

After shopping on the market in Poland they are leaving for Cesky Tesin.

According to the internet it's around 1995. Notice all the Skodinkas!

Malaysia-Singapore Second Link Causeway

Sultan Abu Bakar Immigration Complex, Johor

See those traffic towards Malaysia! My bus driver said that this traffic persists as Malaysian immigration process is far slower compared to the fast and smooth Singaporean process

I think this is the actual border, you can see the asphalt difference there

actually that's is just the secondary crossing, not much Singaporean goes there for Johor Bahru.
As for the border, that's is in the middle of the Strait. The difference in the asphalt colour is due to some kind of an agreement for the Malaysians to kinda manage most of the bridge maintenance.
If you goes to the "Real" Causeway at the city (Johor Bahru), the queues are buzzing like a fire alarm nonstop.(5X worse than the midday traffic at Tuas-Sultan Abu Bakar crossings.

During the Chinese New Year or other festives , this queue on both crossing can get so worse the waiting time can be up to 3 hours.

It seems senseless to me. What was wrong with the border crossing before reconstruction? The border crossing was not old wasn't it?

That's pretty short in comparison with the Ukraïnian and Russian border from/to EU-countries.
