Anc ome to think about it, that has greater impact to *most* of us than whatever was listed above.

Just some pics I made on the 30th of december last year. The border between the Germany and the Netherlands, BAB40/A67. Quality if very low, because of the contralight and a bird that put his 'processed food' on our window

Approaching Venlo

Result of the bird's visit

Only a few kms left to the Netherlands

Border buildings on the other side of the road

Vmax 70 km/h because of possible dru......ehm border checks

Abandoned border office

Do these controls happen so often that this sign must be there 24/7 or they just sit there with binoculars searching for "ideologically hostile" people?

There are sometimes controls for which they stop everybody. Not very often though.

We didn't, but spraying only spread it, it didn't remove it. It was more or less frozen to the windshield

Albania to the left, Greece to the right. Divided by the little bridge.

Which crossing is this? I don't think that this is the Kakavia-crossing.

No, it's the next one to the East (near Konitsa in Greece).

I'd rather say: "connected by the bridge".
and/or "divided by the river"

Is there any land border between countries driving on other side of the road? Maybe somewhere in Asia?
How do they solve it? Flyovers?

There are many. In China in fact even in the same country. That's between Hong Kong and the mainland and there they do use flyovers. Others places are southern Africa, South America and a lot of places in Asia. Check this map out:

I guess in poor countries (where they can't afford flyovers) they regulate it with traffic lights? Or if they are too poor even for that, maybe with give-way signs?

I guess those who are too poor for traffic lights dont have the problem of enormous traffic that needs regulation on borders.

Or it is so quiet that there is just a sign that you have to drive on the other side

Bangladesh is dirt poor, but has very heavy traffic of rickshas. And it even borders Myanmar, where they drive on the other side. But the border between them is closed AFAIK.

On the pic you can see the change of traffic directions (left hand side to right hand side) on Thai-Lao border:
