Something not seen very often: border crossing between India and Myanmar:

In real life, electronic toll collection was first introduced in Bergen, Norway in 1986, and well into the 21th century many countries still struggle to implement it.

That's a huge surprise - the old border crossing here is still very much intact - https://www.google.com/maps/@45.8176...8i6656!6m1!1e1 - and it would be easy enough to establish controls there.

They use it mostly for paying the toll and for controlling trucks which carry dangerous goods. They have to wait for permission to pass.

About the Mont Blanc Tunnel. I drove there at summer 14 from F to I. The French customs used a place before the toll station. You can see it at the video.

It's strange that they chose to use such an awkward and dangerous place as opposed to simply using the old facility on the Italian side.

I notice that this is quite common on Schengen borders though - border controls seem to be conducted in awkward locations near (but not next to) the border rather than using the remains of old infrastructure.

I think it's more to having the controls on their soil rather than encroaching on the neighbour's , since they wouldn't have jurisdiction on that side.
It's like the recent Refugee crisis in Sweden, if im not wrong... (there's a pic here if i remembered)

New binational bridge between Venezuela and Colombia, Puente de Tienditas. It conects Tachira Estate with the department of Norte de Santander.

It's going to have 3 lanes in each direction and a pedestrian bridge next to it.

Venezuelan side is completed, Colombian side is going to be finished soon.
(it will not be open when is finished because the border is closed now for smuggling problems between the two countries.)

It does.... but let's not talk about politics. (May remember these countries had close their countries for a while some months ago and relations aren't good at all)

Usual waiting time, 15 to 30 minutes. Why are you asking?

I crossed it from H to Serbia on Monday 23rd, and to my surprise it was the quickest and most relaxed border crossing here I've ever experienced (based on about 30 crossings over the past 5/6 years). This contrasts greatly with the Nadlac motorway border crossing from RO to H the day before which was a total mess that took almost 40 minutes. It was disorganised and chaotic...metaphor for the EU in the last few years to be honest.

It's only anecdotal evidence, but I've heard that Poland is now systematically scanning all passports on all border crossings as well as conducting detailed Customs checks.
Are passports being stamped again at these -or any other intra-EU border, for that matter- reinstated border checkpoints?

Most probably not. The EU citizens do not need a passport to cross the intra-EU borders, and there is no space for stamps in the ID cards.
