Lol..... that Spanish road has the km. 0 in my homecity. I wish they make a motorway too (there are some little streches somewhere)

There are some funny borders.

For instance..... should google is wrong, should this swimming pool is international

NASA on Sunday shared some stunning pictures of the international border of India and Pakistan as seen from the outer space.

An astronaut from the International Space Station took photographs of the nighttime paranoma of the border facing north across Pakistan's Indus River valley. The image is of one of the few international borders in the world which can be seen so clearly at night, especially de to the high security and several security lights across the border which have a distinct orange tint for it to stand out.

Pictures like that is expected over the summer at the Öresund bridge as vacationers ad to the traffic.

View from the Swedish entry this year.

Before stricter controls began it could still be some waiting times

The Tijuana San Diego border crossing is no longer that look. It's been a few years since they remodeled and now there's a new structure

Are there any exit controls? On Google Maps I don't see any on Mexican side. On US side it is not that clear.

There are no exit controls on either side.

There are Mexican immigration/customs controls located 25 miles inland from the actual border. People who take their own vehicles beyond this zone have to pay for insurance and carnets etc. They must return these to the customs post to get their deposits back when they leave.

Canada US border worries....fearmongering 101

http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2016/05/...rder-concerns/

Very biassed article about the Canada US border only '300 miles from NYC'. No mention of what goes from US to Canada and the article infers that many Canadians are drug smugglers or terrorists.

Any idea of where on the border (I think it is somewhere on the New York/Quebec border) the interview was conducted.

Interesting view of the inside of the Swanton, VT border centre that the USBS has.

Totally agree. Fearmongering at its worst.

I"m more interested in knowing where they filmed the part at the beginning. I've been to a number of now closed former border crossings especially on the QC/NY border but didn't recognize that place.

The border may be 300 miles from NYC, but is less from Syracuse, Burlington, VT etc.

That's correct. The road was built in 1575 with a 100-m-long tunnel on top (demolished in 1728) and it's very steep - up to 33% on the Slovenian side. It was closed for traffic in 1963.
